What time of year you going? Starting to plan a trip for 2024. Not sure if we want to go early for more stable weather or go late and hope the weather pushes them down lower.
I’ve had the Aegis bibs and jacket a couple seasons now and completely happy with it. Got it at quite a discount on Camofire also. The material does a decent job at collecting burs which is a plus in one of my spots.
Cabelas MT050 Bibbs and Parka
Synthetic/poly base with wool over the top.
Fleece mid layer
400-800 gram boots above 25
Pack boots below 25
Edit: Forgot about my neck gaiter.
I’ve been able to sit several hours in sub zero temps with this. Key is to have loose clothing and boots to not...
Looking at going in 2024. Found his website but it hasn’t been updated since 2016 it looks like and can’t find any information on his deer hunts. Does he do lodge hunts, camp, or boat? How many’s days, what part of the island, and current rates. Would greatly appreciate it.
She isn’t home to ask right now. But she bought a vest at first just to see the quality of the product and ended up buying a whole outfit after using the vest and has taken a few whitetail at around 15-18 yards.
I purchased a pair of 6.5 PRC 4 round magazines for my 6.8 build and they are perfect in fit and have room to go a bit longer if wanted. I just need to get my barrel and attached to the action to check the feed. But by eyeing things up nothing stands out that would cause feeding problems.
Often is the case that negligence falls on the pet owners letting their pets roam at large. But the trapper does need to show some discretion on where they make their sets. The resources don’t belong to just one user group. Many seasons run concurrent with others.
You don’t need a cable...
I have a friend in NW Ontario north of Vermillion Bay that has a resort (camp) and they got smacked with snow early and keep getting more. I don’t thinks he has ran deer hunts for the last 3 or 4 seasons now due to the low deer numbers. He said he won’t again this year. He said if they don’t get...
Trapping is a very regulated sport in most states as far as trap sizes and how and where they are set. Along with baits and attractors used.
Here in WI. we can only use snares in water beaver sets. On land we are regulated to using cable restraints with a 250 lb. Break away and deer stops. A...
I don’t understand the wait times? I can walk into a gun shop and in less than an hour walk out with a firearm. Background check and all. What are they doing that it takes close to a year to just get a suppressor that a background check would not cover?
I’m going to be ordering the DNZ’s for my build. I’m guessing with the slight sendero taper on the carbon barrel that lows will not work with a 44mm bell or will it?
Pftttt.
Here is a list of Depredations from WI. where once again we were blocked from managing them beyond the SSS method.
