Any one use a Subaru as a hunting buggy

I owned a 2003 Forester, it was a great car. Ive never owned anything that cruised logging/forestry roads better than this car. My ex wife has a 2014 Crosstrek that also great. However I sold my Forester for two big reasons, range and power. The car would get horrible millage for the power it...

Setting up a paper tuning rig in my garage

It has a dial you can turn, it puts pressure on the sting making it shorter. Still need a press to add twist but makes it nice during hunting season when the shops are packed.

Setting up a paper tuning rig in my garage

I setup a horse stall mat, target and build a simple PVC stand to hold a roll of paper. I also recommend building a drawboard if your strings stretch a little that cause issues.

    Arrow Build Overview!!

I just put a diamond masonry type blade on my miter saw. It cuts really square no need to use a squaring tool. The only prep I do after cutting is chamfer the ID/OD to break that sharp edge.

New to backpacks, kifaru or Mystery Ranch

Mystery Ranch is sold at big box stores now, I would just say get one of those bags. You can always sell it or hand it down or keep is as a spare and upgrade to a KIfaru in the future once you know what you want. I have a few bags and the extras come in handy when a hunting buddy forgets their...

Advice for daypack/frame for packing out Mule deer. MR pop 38 vs Sawtooth .

I use a popup for rifle hunting, its just nice slinging a rifle over your shoulder. I feel like the popup is about an 70lb-80lb frame where is the standard guide light frame is more like 90lbs+ (i own both) If rifle hunting is in your future get the popup, if not then the sawtooth would be my...
