It has a dial you can turn, it puts pressure on the sting making it shorter. Still need a press to add twist but makes it nice during hunting season when the shops are packed.

I just put a diamond masonry type blade on my miter saw. It cuts really square no need to use a squaring tool. The only prep I do after cutting is chamfer the ID/OD to break that sharp edge.

I think the belt is different between the two. I have the older style popup, they could have changed the new style. The yokes on mine are interchangeable ive swapped mine around.

I use a popup for rifle hunting, its just nice slinging a rifle over your shoulder. I feel like the popup is about an 70lb-80lb frame where is the standard guide light frame is more like 90lbs+ (i own both)
