    Packing your pack

I do mostly stuff sacks but some things just work better loose. I like being able to find certain things without rummaging around my pack. First aid/possibles/repair is all in a pull out, my kill kit has its own pull out, food has its own pull out, cooking is self contained, and then camp has...

    Bowtech SR6 users

actually his math is correct. 352ibo with 350gr arrow 30" draw. 3" under 30" would be -30fps, 150gr over 350 would be -50fps and 35gr on strings is another 11fps loss. 3 pounds over ibo would get him roughly 5fps more so my math says he should be in the ball park of 266. That would be if his bow...

What’s the best Custom Hunting Action?

Most everyone is just going to list whatever action they are using and claim that its the best. I personally am using a kelbly atlas because its what my smith was using. I absolutely love the action but cant honestly say that its better or worse than any other custom action. The gun with the...

    Phone adapters for spotting scope

ive ran both the phoneskope and the tines up. I much prefer the tines up strictly for the size when not in use.

    Floorless and rattle snakes

I did 10 days in the breaks last year in a supertarp. I find it best to just not think about it or hunt hard enough that being tired overtakes the crazy games your mind plays. One of the nights while we were cooking we did have a small scorpion crawl through camp that got a boot real fast. I...

    Real hunting weight arrow speeds

28/70 shooting a 482gr at 261. my fixed blades tended to plane more at anything above about 290 so as long as im below that im good to go.

    Day Six arrows

I would recommend everyone to order just shalves and do the work yourself. I had day six cut and glue inserts and of the dozen i orderd only 1 spun true. Prior to having shot any one of the outserts had come loose (no big deal as i can now reglue it and the arrow spins true with the outsert...

    Centergy hybrid for Mathews Traverse

I made this exact move but its too early to tell if its for the better or worse. For me personally i didn't shoot any better with the centergy hybrid with the center grip than I did with my prime rival. I like certain aspects from both bows. I like the draw, back wall, valley, and letoff better...

    Crispi Thor vs summit gtx

These are the two boots i run primarily. I ran the summits for 2 years and ran the thors all last year. While both are great boots and dont require any break in I have to admit that I prefer the thor. The thor's when laced correctly have less heel slip and I prefer the stiffer flex. I got...

    Reloading for long range?

Redding dies, RCBS or lyman scale (digital. trust me, go digital). I have an extra frankford arsenal corncob media tumbler that I will give you if you're ever in the dickinson area along with corncob media and brass polish. I dont have a need for it ever again as i use stainless. It is for sure...

    Reloading for long range?

Stainless steel media and it doesnt have a close second. Cleans your primer pockets and inside of brass. Mine always comes out looking better than new (not an exaggeration). Most Guys skip the cleaning solution for it and use dawn dish soap and lemi-shine in the water. Frankford arsenal is the...

    Reloading for long range?

smokin where are you at in ND? I both shoot and reload long range and am also in ND. If I get an extra day and youre in the same area I can help you piece together what you need. I have a spare press and digital powder dispenser and a couple other odds and ends that ive upgraded over time.

    28 nosler brass

for anyone that has a 28 nosler you know how tough its been to get brass due to the shortage. Figured id let fellow roksliders know its instock at midway currently. I signed up for email alerts but haven't got anything from them yet. Brass only, no loaded rounds as of yet.

    Best spotting scope?

another vote for the meopta S2 with 30-60WA. Just spent the last 10 days glassing along side my buddy who had the kowa 883 with 25-60WA. his scope was a day old so no scratches or anything. We were hunting the breaks so glass was everything and every daywe spent 5+ hours behind the glass. I...

Meopta Meopro 80 or Zeiss conquest

I would make you a heck of a deal on a meopro 80HD as I just upgraded to the meostar 82HD. 800$ shipped in its soft case. would also throw in the phoneskope eye piece for it as there is no reason I would need it anymore. as far as it being better or worse than the ziess I cant give you an honest...

ND Archery Mule Deer Pack List

Some good advice above. In my opinion you're a bit over packed but that's half the fun. I spend a lot of time hunting and camping in the badlands every year (normally at least 50 days). I typically get 2+ miles in and then camp just for ease of glassing but its all dependent on what buck im...

Seeking help on an arrow build for a Bowtech Realm

Your spine would be weak on the 3rd option. You don't need a 29in arrow with a 29in draw. cut it back to like 27.5 or 28. I'd run a 27.75in 300 spine 5mm axis with 75gr brass insert and a 100gr head. That should be about perfect for spine and put you just over 500gr and decent FOC.
