Nice work. I wasn't as strong. Monday felt like shit starting to feel better today. Crazy how 1 crappy day of eat and drink can wreck you.

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

Weight moving much slower than expected. Have done good with diet and have 10/11 alcohol free days this month. Have been working out 3d/week and light cardio 3d/week. 244 as of this morning. Was up from my initial weigh-in to around 249lb a couple weeks ago. At least it has been trending down.

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

Man sometimes it sucks when you do things right! (sarcasm) I have been struggling to manage my high BP. I monitor it daily and usually in the 145-150/100 in the mornings before I take my meds. This week I have been focused on no alcohol and using my cpap. I have watched that morning reading...

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

I hear you on that one. Last year I struggled with the sweets when I didn't drink for 45 days. I did find that if I drank a couple diet sodas it at least helped trick my brain a little in the evenings. My problem became midday candy cravings. I have a wife with a sweet tooth and there is always...

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

I have been weighing in every morning right when I wake up just to get a feel for daily fluctuations. Idea being if you are in a caloric deficit you should see it on the scale. Over the past 10 days I have been down as much as 8lbs but currently hovering around 245 which would put me around 3...

    Rokslide 2022 Weight Loss Thread

I will jump back in this year. 270quest I played along most of last year. I dropped 30lbs in 2021 but since the end of elk season I have put 20lbs back on. I got down to 225 during elk season last year but battled some significant back/sciatica issues for several months spring/summer. I will...

    2021 Elk Meat Pole

It was an incredible place to hunt but we did have to make our own meat pole! Our spot was not the most desired. We rolled in around 10pm.

    2021 - Weight Loss/Way in Thread

Haven’t updated to this in a while. I went into the season at around 236. I finished my second week of hunting around 225. I am back up to 232 and now starting workouts again. Archery season changes the whole routine on its own but I also have 2 very sports active kids. Between practices and...

Best waist belt for hunting pants?

I need to find the link but I bought a couple off of amazon that were generic utility/service belts and they have been great. I use them for hunting and have packed meat with zero issues. I also coach and referee in them with shorts because I got my dad’s lack of ass and hips. I carry an XD 45...

Unit 61 Colorado (Updated With Hunt Recap at the End)

Finally, Sunday morning had arrived. I had a 30-45 minute 4 wheeler ride with my buddy in his truck behind me to think about things even more. We were able to take the 4 wheeler about 1/2 mile closer than the truck and to the start of a mountain bike trail that would lead us down to where we...

Unit 61 Colorado (Updated With Hunt Recap at the End)

Had originally planned on being back out on the 19th but sometimes things don't work out how you plan them. My truck was the first part of the problem. Injectors going south and no one around could even look at it until the 22nd so I needed an alternate plan. A great friend stepped up and...
