My best of 2022 for me was catching 786 fish on a fly rod on one river and catching several personal bests for me in this state. Can’t wait until April when I’ll be fishing darn near every night after work this spring! I even got some fish biologists hooked on going out for a day of fly fishing...
No chewing (Zyns fine), chewing is causing some health issues for me and I’m only 28.
No beer until May
Average 70 flights of stairs a day for 2023
Average 13500 steps a day.
Good numbers for the most part. Lots of younger bucks in the areas that got hit by blue tongue. The people I know who get it done every year still got decent ones including myself.
I’ve shot all my bucks between 9 and 12. I don’t sit in a tree stand as I find it’s a waste of time. Wolves have never had an effect on my hunting and I’ve shot my bucks in 10,10A, and 12.
I’ll add a store customer service interaction. I live in Idaho and go to Lewiston about every weekend to do shopping. Over the last few years, I’ve seen price gouging at the sportsman’s warehouse, but it’s easy to price match and get better prices. I almost never get asked in there if I need any...
Condolences to you and your family!
I have been trying to mentally prepare for the time I have to put my fur baby down which isn’t too far off. One of the hardest things in life 😢
Northern Idaho, 10 miles will be alright unless there’s a wind event. I did watch a fire run a couple miles a few days ago during a critical fire day so anything could happen.
Gotta check in on all the homies every once in a while! Never know who’s down.
Windigo is right. Some forests still treat their employees like shit and tough to find good ones these days.
Quality of life for me in my late 20’s. No wife, no kids, no attachments. Being out in the woods for so long sometimes that I get sick of it and need to go to a city.
Been telling the rain to f*** off since Thursday evening and it hasn’t worked. One wet may and June and the snow still has 6’ to melt off up high! I wish we could divert half of the water in the Idaho rivers down to the Southwest!
Idaho’s been fishing absolutely wonderful when the water has been clear. Here’s #481 on a fly this year caught during the break in rain Sunday. My goal is 2000 on a fly this year and I’ll be fishing every chance I get to break that mainly in Clearwater County and Idaho County.
Been catching...
