Possibly available as a component stock in the future. But spoken for, for a little while, to use on the full builds that are already on the books as the new stocks arrive.
Couldn’t resist and snagged a 6.5-7PRC as well now 🙄.
After spending a few hundred rounds behind the new stock, I...
Awesome!! I’d go 22”. Extra 50-60fps to ensure your goal and you won’t notice it in the field.
I see most people were shooting H1000 in the info you got. I think a 156 would create an enough pressure that you could use N570 and be right near a full case. In all the cases I've tested, if you...
Oh yeah, I have heavier recoiling rifles and the muzzle brakes make a night and day difference!!
9 twist will stabilize them for sure. That’s what I shot them in. But I think an even slower twist will still work
Oh I'd have no problem hunting with one! I just loaded 208 ELDM's in one at 2850FPS. Those would kill anything easily.
Just in comparison, it is a lot of extra recoil, with no ballistic advantage.
Of your options I’d definitely go 7 PRC. You don’t need the added recoil, or shittier ballistics of the 300 WM. I’m not that familiar with the factory offerings, but brownings seem to be a decently built, as well as a decent shooting rifle from what I’ve seen.
Took a short break from the 22CM to get the new 7-300 NMI up and running.
180 ELDM’s.
Two 5 shotters overlayed for a 10 shot .6 MOA
180 Hybrid Targets. 25 rounds for 1 MOA
Carbon barrels are OKAY I guess 🙄😅
Listened to that yesterday. Good conversation for sure. He also definitely has a solid ego towards everything shooting related. But they have innovated a lot for sure. It’s hard to find someone that’s well studied and practiced in their field that doesn’t have a slight ego. So I don’t hold it...
Here’s another high round count group. This was fired from a 7-300 Norma Mag Improved.
This is 25 shots of 180 Berger Hybrid Targets around 3150fps
The rifle. It’s 10lb 5oz.
It was shot in 5 groups of 5 shots each, with cooling in between.
After the first 10 you could think “I have some...
I’m shooting a one off McMillan now. Gun builder fronted the whole costs for the mold and pre-order of 100 stocks I believe. Once the prototype was finalized, they nailed the mold and the action/barrel inlets on the first shot.
Thank you!! I’m by no means anti-carbon. I just thought steel was the easy button (and still kind of do think that). Since this initial write up, I’ve had a couple steels not really hammer all that well either. They all shot okay though.
This is my first carbon barrel in over 2 years and it’s...
It’s definitely under filled. N570 shoots excellent in this cartridge, with crazy speeds, it just TORCHES the throat. I’m shooting 83gr. N565 with a 180 ELDM. N570 is 90gr. with a 180 ELDM at 3350. I shot it in my last barrel lol
Didn’t give much detail on the build in the previous post since I was on the run. Built by @barehandlineman at High Voltage Armory
26” 1.250 proof sendero 1-8 twist
New Defiance Exodus (gun smith designed)
New McMillan stock (gun smith designed)

I've been watching this guys videos for a few years now. He shoots A LOT of groups, with heavy ass rifles, and does a lot of "tuning".
You'll hear him say things like, "cold bore flier", "pulled that one", "that load really fell apart" type of stuff. Things most everyone attributes to their...
