I think those will work. I'm a recent trad convert and am shooting 45lbs on a medium overdraw riser that weighed in at 54lbs at 28". Do you know what the outserts weigh? Sorry for all the questions.
@Wrench - Good call on the warranty. I'll have to look into that. I also wear heavy-duty gators but after trudging through tall, wet grass every morning and a couple rain showers, nothing seems to keep the dampness out. I'm going to look into treating and conditioning this new pair of Hanwags
Quick question. I typically pick up a pair of Salomon 4d Quest GTX boots for each CO elk season as the waterproofing / gore tex wears off after 1 season of use. Last year, I had a buddy join us and even his brand new Crispis were no match for the tall, wet grass and occasional rainstorm.

@CJF - Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree. It's so sad to see so much of CO burning.
In the past, his "no fire" policy has been strictly about scent control. That said, I think playing the wind is the most important part of backcountry elk hunting...no matter what you smell like.
@Brendan All good points. I really don't spend too much time in camp, but we try and eat dinner together around 8:30-9 and while waiting for each other to get back to camp or sitting down to eat, I freeze my ass off -- lol. I suppose I could wait inside my sleeping bag.
