Sleep system for Colorado 2nd season Mule Deer

0 Degree bag and a good insulated pad, test it before you go out. Are you wanting to go with a tent or a tarp/tipi capable of running a stove?

    Training Routine?

Blank bale shooting concentrating on form rather than aiming at a target. Get real close so you can't miss and take your sight off or close your eyes. This time of year is a great time to do it and solely concentrate on form for a solid week never shooting at a target face

How Do I Keep My FL Chama from Falling Apart?

Yep believe all of FL's stuff is a blend now. I have probably 5 or 6 new baselayer merino pieces and none of them have holes. Used my chamas and llanos for 2 years and it has one small hole but I never wore it as an active outer layer

Tipi Tent Help: Best Two-Man Palace?

Snyder has a video comparing the tut and sawtooth. I'll summarize tho: Tut is ligtht weight no frills sqaure tipi for two peope, weights 3 pounds something, still lots of room, pitches in a couple min, and can stand up in just the middle. Sawtooth is bombproof, has a liner, little more room...

Is the marketing of hunting destroying hunting?

Hunting public ground in the midwest is a crap shoot too. Be careful who you tell your spots to, i've heard way too many "honey holes" given away at the local bar

    Quilt vs. mummy bag

Same. Had a BA q core and had to reinflate before the night everday during my week long trip and then twice in the middle of the night and was always cold. Switched to an x lite and was warm as could be in the same temps. Lucky I worked for a dealer and got free demos on their stuff at the time

    Quilt vs. mummy bag

I'm switching (for the warmer months at least) for the weight savings and ability to move around a little more. I'm also a side/belly sleeper and go from side to side while I sleep

    Thoughts on my sleep system

I've got the uncompahgre puffy pants and jacket, maybe I'll see how that affects things in the yard this spring before it warms up

    Thoughts on my sleep system

Thinking about staying with a bag and going 0 degree and saving the quilt idea for summer scouting/early season

    Thoughts on my sleep system

I'll probably snag a stove and learn towards something about half the price of the WM bags so I don't spend myself out of being able to hunt haha

    Thoughts on my sleep system

No stove in the tut. was really wanting to go quilt but might be better to play it safe and go with a bag?
