Yeah I was between the Ktm and drz it was just way more expensive. The local bike shop by me was having a huge sale on the drz so I went with that. Now I want more of a cruise around town type bike

I’m not really dead set on any “type” of bike. I just want something that’s comfortable, easy enough around town but can do long road rides

Hey everyone,
I recently got a dual sport motorcycle and and now extremely hooked on riding in general. I’ve done 120+ mile rides on my bike but it’s just not comfortable after about 40 miles. I love the bike a lot, but want to extended my riding options to 150+ mile rides and not have a sore...
As a contractor I’ve only ever used concrete to set post. For “optimal” long lasting post put some plastic on the base of the post that will be in contact with concrete/dirt. If your going 6’ high go at least 24” down

Both, I plan on using it as both. I got all terrain tires so I can do both
I don’t plan on doing any crazy tracks just cruising around on the street and going up on tracks around my house/city

Are Hinson clutches the same as rekluse? I didn’t even know something like rekluse existed until one of the first commenters said something

I’m not a ball buster that wants to go fast so I truthfully don’t care about top speed. I won’t be going on the Highway much or at all. So to me it’s all about not stalling ojt and learning

The sad part is I only have 1 buddy that rides at all and he is moving in 2 weeks so I’ve only got about a week for him to teach me. And within that week we both work so it’ll be a 1 or 2 time training lesson. So I’ll be mostly self taught

As a complete novice on bikes I’m not entirely sure I’d know the difference until later, but if that’s the case I guess I’ll have to cross that ridge when I get to it haha

I live in Nevada, southern end in Vegas so it’s all loose gravel/red rock and sand… hopefully the drz can hold up in it

Thank you! Haha I read quite a few different things online and they all said it’s a great commuter/trail/off-road all in one bike so I figured I can’t really go wrong. Especially for such a cheap price out the gate. Can’t really mess it up.

No disagreement on that!
I ordered it just in case I want to put it in while my buddy is here. It’s free returns/return shipping so I have nothing to loose but be out the money until I return it. More of a backup plan in case I want it I’m not wanting to ride the bike and mad cause I can’t...
I just want it to make me not worry about using the clutch and I can just idle in 1st at stops and not stall out haha. It takes the stressful part of riding of out the equation until I get more comfortable. I feel once I get comfortable on that I can try and learn to use the clutch more
My one...
Beautiful bike! Sorry about your son, I’m sure he will learn one way or another just like we all do/have. Going for another ride later today after work, already loving riding.. just trying to figure out the clutch more

I ordered the Rekluse X for my bike, it’s still in the mail. More of less seeing if I can figure out the clutch comfortably before installing it

Bike came with dirt tires which is a huge plus, I’m currently looking to see what spring I should get and then hoping to find one used if possible
