Never had one out multi day, but I also haven't dried and wiped it down after day hunts...just put it back in the truck. Haven't had an issue. -

I would go with blued Tikka. I have a couple and haven't had rust issues with them. One has been cerakoted. If there are issues after the hunt then get it coated. No comparison between the tikka and savage action -
What happened?
Just for reference the bull I shot this year was quartering away. The shoulder and your red x from the photo above were covered by a tree so I aimed just off the tree where I was comfortable. I knew I was shooting further back than I wanted but figured it would be perfectly lethal liver/lung... -
155 Scenar performance on game?
From 2004 to 2010ish I probably killed around 30 or so whitetail out of a 300wsm. I stopped shooting them because the meat damage was too much for my liking. Looking back I should have just shot the 308 full time but I was definitely chasing fps. Was pushing them 3300 mv and even then never had... -
