    I like the panel blind style better like the tanglefree. More versatile imo. Same effect but easier to use in more conditions. We will use them as a breakup on river banks and only have to use one in front instead of a whole box like the avian x.

    It is definitely a mid layer, not an outer shell. All of your other gear as far as base and mid layers should work fine. Lots of decent options for outer shells that don’t cost $3-500.00. I really think you’d be pretty happy with the northern flight

    Which one are you choosing, NL Pure 14x52 or 10x52?

    If I was going to do it I would have to go with the 10’s. 14’s would be awesome but I’d rather have something more useful for all types of glassing, not just strictly from a tripod.
