Sold Stone glacier solo 3600, x curve, lg belt foliage + accessories

I have a stone glacier solo 3600 in foliage with a lid, large accessory pouch, camp pocket, hydro holster, pack rain cover, and load cell bag. The frame is a large sized x curve. It’s been used a bit and the mesh is a little fuzzy, no weird stains, smells, or holes. I’m willing to break it up...

    Brightest headlamp or compact flashlight

I sometimes bring an Acebeam H30 because it can be used as a battery bank. I have brighter and more compact headlamps but none that can be used at high output for nearly as long in that form factor. Itll do 1100 lumens for nearly three hours. The light without a battery is 3oz and each 21700 is...

    Sig Zulu6 PRO (NEW GLASS)

I don’t have enough time to get a set in before I leave for my elk hunt but I’m encouraged by your review. I previously picked the 16x42s over the 12s because I didn’t like the narrow FOV even though the 12s were optically a good bit better for me. I’m excited to try the 16x50s, I’ll probably...

    New Sig Zulu

I think it’ll be 16x50s for me, I’ll wait until I can find them discounted somewhere.

    New Sig Zulu

I believe exit pupil, the eye relief seems acceptable for me. Perhaps the feeling I’m describing of the 12s being “easier to get behind” is eye relief and not exit pupil.

    New Sig Zulu

This is my first foray into binos with terrible exit pupil but the big bonus for me would be the improved exit pupil of the 16x50s over the 16x42s. The exit pupil of the 12x42s is much easier to deal with but the tight FOV drove me nuts so I have the 16s.

    New Sig Zulu

I’m curious why the 16s are the most expensive. Maybe they figure they will be the most popular. I bet the 18s will be popular, nice field of view for the magnification and a much better eye relief than the current 20s, even a little better than the current 16s.

    New Sig Zulu

If the relationship between kite optics and sig specs holds up, youd expect the 14, 16, and 18 to be 3.7 degrees FOV. I really feel like the 16s will be money. It would be a very slight reduction in FOV and a nice boost in eye relief vs the current 16s. a little heavier but competitive with x50...

Katabatic flex 22 in warmer temps

I have a flex 22 and this is what I do. It’s the only quilt I have.

Sorry I edited, that would be my expectation, not anything I have read from sig.

    New Sig Zulu

If it’s anything like previous generations, the FOV in degrees will be the same in all magnifications and the lower magnifications will be brighter and easier to get behind. I use the 10x30 HDXs the most often and that supposedly has gen 1 stabilizing technology, my 16x42s seem to be better at...

Updating your optics system to include image stabilized binoculars - share what you are using and for what type of hunts

Thats my primary complaint. So much how I used to choose binoculars was focus wheel, eye box, depth of field, etc. stuff that couldn’t really be listed in a spec sheet. All those things kind of suck on the IS. I hear the x50s are going to be a step up, I’m excited to try them.

Updating your optics system to include image stabilized binoculars - share what you are using and for what type of hunts

I wish I had access to all the optics you do but I had the 10x30, 12x42, and 16x42 Zulu 6 HDX that I compared with my maven b3 and meostar 12x50s for at least six months before I went all image stabilized. I mostly have the same feeling as you. The 12 Zulu 6s were optically better than the 16s...

How to determine best shoes for running

I’m curious how they/you know when the shoes are done? I’d imagine with the light runners and relatively low mileage the shoes look to be in great condition.

How to determine best shoes for running

I have the same recommendation as above. Run in different shoes from all the way to like a very cushioned max support to a “race shoe” and keep several pairs in the rotation at once. I think it helps to run in shoes that offer different heel drops and cushion levels. It may also give you a hint...

    Best spotting scope under 1000

For what the comparison is worth I had a gen 1 Ares 15-45x65 and now have an opticron mm4 60 and I prefer the opticron. For as little as I use a spotter, it’s just at the top end of my price range and amount of weight I’m willing to deal with. I’ve never looked through a gen 2 ares.
