I noticed that. I'm not sure if it's proving the point that I should have fired a 10 round group and within the accuracy of the gun or maybe my scope wasn't level when I shot. Both are possible and I haven't been able to test further. Scope is an ATACR that has proven to be mechanically sound.
I have personally shot 3 Christensens, 2 mesas and a traverse. The traverse will shoot with just about any custom gun, but neither Mesa could compete with a tikka or savage at half the cost.
I dont share much on here but I feel this is worth putting out. Take this information however you like, but this worked.
I wanted to do some tinkering with my elk rifle. It's not a rifle I particularly care to shoot in large volumes ( not to mention it's expensive to feed.)
The rifle is a 30...
Mathew's Chill-X I bought brand new. Never really hunted with it much and don't plan to so it needs to go. Everything in the photo is included. Draw is 70lb at 28". Spot Hogg Fast Eddie sight and mathews drop away rest. $500. Bow is in great shape, only hunted with for a grand total of about 8 days.
I have made my own, tried different fills, bought a LRO hunters wedge, and they all resulted in high misses for me unless I put a good amount of pressure on the bag.
The most stable make-shift rear support I have found has been putting my glassing pad on a rock. Will there always be the right...
Sour gummies. They don't make the 100+ cal/ oz but they sure break up the monotony of the backpack meals and bars, and I love them. Yes. I know. I'm a grown ass man, I shave and pay enough taxes to support a small family but I still love kid's candy.
I also like to make my own breakfast cereal...
This is what it looks like when you ignore someone. I covered the name because of obvious reasons (its not Broz), although it would be funny to know how many people have him blocked. The dude is DENSE. Only one I have blocked on here.
Not a 7 PRC shooter but I find the velocities interesting. I own a 7 SAUM and am shooting the 180 Bergers at 2890fps because that was by far the most accurate load. I talked to Blaine at Unknown Munitions ( he does their load developments) and he confirmed that right around 2900fps in the SAUM...
I'd do a 1-9 twist, it's going to get you well in to your stability window with most heavy bullets on the market. You don't really have anything to lose by going with a one inch faster twist, and there's plenty of info out there supporting that there isn't any significant loss in velocities if...
+1 for Wiser Precision quick sticks with the adapter mount. They click together and saves weight on your rifle and your Trekking poles make a solid and very adjustable system.
Mine is my 30 Nosler +P built on a McMillan stock, Benchmark 22" 3B chambered by Carl Feldcamp with a timney trigger.
Shoots Berger 208 gr LRTHs at 3000 fps
Topped with an ATACR
I bought this to see if it would work in a 6mm BR when Varget was hard to get. I burned about 1/2lb, but probably less. Jug has been stored indoors. $300. Also posted on Spokane Gun trader.
I live in Kellogg but am willing to meet in the Coeur d'Alene/Spokane area.
