Garage bucks / House bucks / Man Cave

I love seeing other people’s mounts and what they do with them at home. Let’s see those walls...whether they are in a shed, garage, house or a man cave! Here’s my garage bucks and some mounts in my bar in the basement.

    Colorado deer

Hi all- Here are a few pics of the buck I shot in Colorado this year. I shot this buck on Sunday, the last day of 3rd season, at just under 200 yards. Turns out I saw him earlier in the hunt but at that time I was pursuing a bigger deer. On the last day while approaching a knob to glass I...

    2017 Muzz Buck

Hey LaGriz...thanks! I can’t see the pic though? It was a requirement to use open sights. If you’re having difficulties with the peep maybe try one with a larger hole size. I still think that may be more accurate than a V sight. Some of you will laugh but I basically just used a filed down...

    2017 Muzz Buck

The peep is a Williams sight WGRS. I also got some interchangeable peeps with different hole sizes to try but ended up going with the size it came with. Didn’t have issues in low light but I’m no muzzy guru...just a rookie that got lucky! I’m hooked now though! Sent from my iPhone using...

    2017 Muzz Buck

Nice, I’m glad it posted. Thanks for the comments. The muzzleloader used was a .50 CVA Accura V2 with a peep for the rear site and I made my own front site. 90 grains of Triple 7 with 348 gr lead Powerbelt. Initially I was worried about the performance of the bullet on the animal but it...

    2017 Muzz Buck

I’ve always struggled posting pics on Rokslide but I just registered to TapaTalk...hopefully this works. If no pics show let me know. Here’s a pic of a buck I shot last year with a muzzleloader. 28” wide, 190. I gave Robby the bottom teeth and he lab aged at 7 years old. First buck I’ve...

Nikon Fieldscope 50ED with MCII eyepiece

Looking to sell my Nikon Fieldscope 50ED with the MCII (13-40x). Some small nicks on the body and a few hairline scratches on the lens but fully functional. This eyepiece is very hard to find and it really improves the performance of the optics. Great lightweight setup. Asking $400 Thanks...

    Shedding late?

Last Sunday I went out and saw 12 bucks, and one had shed. That seems like normal timing to me. Also in neighboring units with a different winter range (just 20 miles away) the bucks seem to be about 2 weeks later. Not sure why but over the years it has been fairly consistent. I’m also...

When to load during a hunt

Thanks for the input! I'm on the hunt right now with a loaded barrel and a used cap in place. Rain in the forecast so I packed around my soft gun case today for insurance. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to torch one off at a big buck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When to load during a hunt

Hi all- I'm not real experienced in muzzy hunting so I would like some input on when you would recommend loading a muzzleloader for a hunt? The hunt is late so the weather will be cold and potentially snowy. Also it is for mule deer and I will mainly be doing a lot of long distance glassing...

New Muley Hunter - Elevation during 2nd rifle CO

Deer will tolerate snow if the feed is good. From my experience the feed quality in the "high county" deteriorates in October, which pushes the deer to lower elevations...snow or no snow. Not sure on your area, but for me in Colorado this generally is >10,500 ft. If present at your location...
