Bought it in November / December - took it out and used it in December and January - served its purpose. I just need a lot bigger glass to sit behind for longer periods so I went with a BTX … comes with the magview (flip cover worked better than the factory cover) .

I think AZ already clarified that it is cheaper and easier to just pay the money and complete the online course - it didn’t make sense to most non residents to complete the online course, fly or drive to Arizona, get a hotel and complete the “IN PERSON” field day…
Not really them being greedy...
when it comes to optics you only go one way - more expensive and better quality.
By the time you bought those cheapies, then upgrade to a middle model, then lower tier quality, then top tier - you just wasted money - save it and wait till you can buy some top tier glass … no difference between...
Following -
just bought my wife a Christensen arms Mesa FFT in 6mm CM.
Just broke barrel in and ordered an APA micro bastard - now time to test some ammo.
I mean - some people have car payments, some people go out to dinner, some people east fast food - then some people only want to go hunting to look for things they may or may not see -
I’ll drive an older Toyota, have renters pay my mortgages, free up my time so I can spend august - February...
For binoculars and spotting scopes - After years of wasting money and time - wondering why people could see things I never did - I came upon the conclusion if it doesn’t say Swarovski or Leica - I am not allowed to buy them -
My wife told me that is the rule… I gave away one of those vortex...
I sold a house for a buddy, he called me and asked if I wanted his Polaris 500 4x4 - so I took it. A week later his sister called and asked if my wife could use her Polaris 330 4x4 with under 100 miles … so we took that also and I ended up buying my friends custom trailer for $1500 - bags...
I’ll go wait in line in person next year - I’ll start a bidding process to purchase tags for others - I prefer Zelle or Apple Cash .
Since it will be me and my dad waiting in line I can pay for the trip through the bidding process ..
Two D unit deer in Southern California - I helped my dad and a friend tag out on these. not the biggest but they are some of the biggest in this part of the world . 10% success rate unit .
Put in for a better unit, spend time with the daughter, she will be a teenager when you get drawn so you should be able to hunt the entire week, go after bigger bulls and see more elk .
Better chance at bigger bulls in 6a with a rifle - less hunter helpers than during archery = less people . If you are planning on chasing bugling bulls in 6a during archery season plan on looking in all directions and finding 2-10 other hunters .
Place is a zoo .
Good year to have an Arizona elk tag. Doing my count down now - with all the campers (homeless people), you may have to drive to find a spot to camp .
I’ll be a week early and my hunt ends the 28th.
