Close call today
When we bought our house the lint trap on the drier had a small burn mark on it. The previous owners must have not been paying attention too close. Fire starting
I have the ferro rod, storm proof matches, and lighters in my pack. I normally only hunt somewhere within a mile or so of a road but it wouldnt take much to be in a bad spot and no cell reception. What to do with my old savage axis .30-06
My vote is option 3: when I was young I had the chance to shoot my dad's shotgun. He still used it when I moved from a 20 gauge youth to a 12 gauge so I didn't get his. However, the experience of just shooting my dad's gun was a moment to cherish. I felt it made the couple hunts I used it more... -

Don't underestimate old guy strength
I agree with you on the tendons and cartilage. I overexercised and stayed in amazing shape in my early 20s. Problem was that I exercised or was playing sports in college 3-5 hours a day 6-7 days a week with minimal rest. It was a blast but now at only 32 my knees hurt walking up and down stairs...- Mish-pop

I may have trashed my bow today!
I broke my d-loop last year but luckily it was in the first half of my draw so not a ton of pull yet. I will second the wrist sling as that saved my bow hitting the ground -

Best or Favorite Bow EVER
Elite Energy 35. Second bow I have owned and love the smooth draw and release. Haven't had much experience with other bows but no plans to switch anytime soon.
