    Reloading 2.0 Guidance Requested

The OP was asking about how to get back into reloading economically and simply without having to worry about every detail, and how to accomplish this. It seems that the topic has been covered adequately. But now the discussion has gotten so off-track that it is a train wreck. I don't post...

Looking for a custom knife maker recommendation

I have been making custom hunting knives at a slow pace for about 13 years, primarily as a hobby since I really don't make beans from my work considering the cost of materials and time put into each knife. I utilize the stock removal method and use high end stainless blade steels, exotic wood...

    CB Radios

In my opinion, the Cobra 29 is a good choice. I have a Galaxy SSB though. CB is not used anywhere as much as in the past. A lot of truckers are even doing without them these days.. Often the chatter is garbage on the main channels with lots of cussing and playing around. Sometimes you'll...

Has anyone figured out a hunting bipod yet?

I second vote for the Evolution Bipod. It's solid, light, and almost infinitely adjustable.

Stuck, I need help in New Mexico in a bad way

Sorry that I couldn't help. I live in Santa Fe. Although it's quite a distance to where you were, I'd have made the trip in my Jeep if I didn't have other commitments. I'm glad that you found the help you needed, although it wasn't until morning.

Kuhl Revolvr pants are my go to. I haven't been able to afford anything nicer for hunting.

Achieving ideal case length with fired brass

It's possible, but unlikely, that you are experience trouble while chambering due to the case length being slightly over max length. Most chambers have enough throat that they can accommodate a slightly long case. You may want to trim one to see if it solves your problem before proceeding with...

    What is this?

It's most likely an oil field tool to be run on a drill string. No telling the purpose. It's probably 4140 steel and he would probably get his $40 back as metal scrap. I don't think there's many options for selling it.

    Rattlesnake Skin Tanning

The problem that I always had with a simple staking and salting method on the interior side was the the eventual flaking of scales on the outside. I'd definitely try a commercial method/chemical over just using salt. Maybe the scales should be stripped at the beginning, and then just rely on...

    Rattlesnake Skin Tanning

I've only staked them out on a board and applied salt, but this makes for a stiff skin and not practical for typical use.

    Best labradar deal?

That is very nice and compact. Here's what it looks like in an Apache 4800 (Harbor Freight) with room to spare for a small stand, ballhead, etc.

    Best labradar deal?

The trigger shouldn't be needed unless you are using suppressors or very low caliber rounds with little report, pellet guns, archery, etc.

    Best labradar deal?

I ordered one of these Cavix H295 ball heads for $33 on Amazon and mounted it to a 1-1/2 x 6 x 8" board for bench shooting. I use a regular tripod when pistol shooting.

    .308 reloading cost vs. benefit?

I think it's worth it to obtain some components and work up a load in case you can't find factory ammo when you need it. I'm doing this right now with 7mm Rem Mag rounds with Nosler Partition and Nosler Accubonds. Yet, if these ever become available again as factory rounds, I'd certainly use...
