I've been in WA fin the past, it offers faster career acceleration for me, but I could be remote and still make good money.
But.. You can PM me where you landed and only 1 person will move there (and very likely I don't anyway) but we have been to all western states to look for places to live...
So... Where did you end up that you regret not going to sooner?
In the next 2 or so years I will be relocated (again) for work to a more permanent role, and could be remote or in person.
We have a short list in MT/WY, or ID/WA but always interested to hear where other people have landed.
There are a couple other questions to ask yourself - will this be a can that you want to swap across multiple platforms or will it live on this single rig?
For a first suppressor I really like the SilencerCo Omega Hybrids where you can swap them across multiple platforms. The Omega 36M could go...
Responding on your bump.
My wife and I used to be diehard Mint users until it went down. We now use YNAB (although it does cost $100 a year).
This year we started the "50-30-20" rule where you spend 50% on needs, 30% on wants, and 20% savings and it is going well so far.
We used to be over...
The Pie Pizza up by the University is a can't miss. Possibly the best pizza you will ever eat.
Chunga's Mexican food is maybe my favorite "dirty spoon" Mexican place down there
Bombay House is some of the best Indian I have had ever
HSL is a top tier Tapas place. Near the University/Aves...
When I was in high school my favorite band listed MC5 as one of their top influences.
I got Blacktocomm from an MC5 song over 20 years ago - it has stuck around.
Got skunked but only got out twice. Planning an international move and a new job got in the way of hunting.
No going to be a few years without hunting and just fishing/skeet shooting to pass the time til I get back to the states.
Palmer sucks. Super unfriendly locals, terrible food, chock full of violent Yeti's as soon as you get on the trails anywhere outside of town. ;)
And the fishing isn't even good there. So...
I imagine he rolls out to GreatClips or Sportsclips he will be able to find something in the $20ish range?
But I am bald so I have no clue what the haircut market is these days - I just know my family in Boise all goes to SportClips.
I was thinking base pay no overtime.
A couple of chief's leading a team and working overtime I totally understand why they cross the $200k barrier.
But those people are kind of the exception to the rule? At least I assume.
Finance at a tech company. Have unlimited PTO, but my toddler makes getting time in the woods harder than my job.
With family obligations I get maybe 5-10 days to hunt, but I take nice days off to walk in the woods/scout/hike with my kid.
Saw easily over a dozen harvestable deer/bear with my...
Whoa - I am the sole provider (although my wife staying at home with kids isn't easy) and we are about to move overseas too!
I'm going to land in the UK, so not sure if I am just going to pay to play - or try and do the whole song and dance of firearms license and private land hunts. Are you...
What about like a 2012 Honda Pilot? You can most likely find those around $10k or so. We have a CRV and even though its as boring as plain oatmeal it is also dead reliable and gets nearly 28MPG on the roads to most hunting spots.
I came here for inspiration on what to put on the list for my wife to get me for Christmas. I was shocked on the blaspheming against pumpkin pie! There is nothing better than pumpkin pie with whipped cream for breakfast the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
My current list is just a...
WL Gore If I wanted to move to Northern Arizona this would be the first company on my radar for jobs.
I lived there before I got into hunting and kick myself everyday now that I didn't buy a lifetime resident license when I was an AZ resident.
Have you looked at the Alaska Troopers site? They have wildlife trooper roles and they have a strong starting payscale. And you get to live in Alaska and working with wildlife you will know where the honey holes for hunting are.
I am not sure what guides get paid - but making something you...
