POI shift with different lots of ammo. What is the norm?

Curious what is the expected shift in POI from changing to a new lot of ammo. Noticed a significant difference this weekend. Is it more rifle/ barrel specific? This one was a surprise I was not expecting as I wanted to shoot a 10 round group to establish a cone for this rifle ammo combo...

Warne Mountain Tech vs Leupold Back Country Rail

For what it’s worth. There is another thread on here that details an issue with the rail. You will need to purchase a magnum length rail from either Leopold or warne

Warne Mountain Tech vs Leupold Back Country Rail

I don’t know the model or make of the ring set. I recall they came in a blister pack with a yellow background. A friend asked me to mount up their scope and I was not impressed with any of the set up. Rings when put together before mounting you could feel and see the flex. Not a lot but...

    New TBAC SHOT Releases

Please deregulate immediately. The market will adjust. It’s called capitalism. Companies will see the opportunity and expand quickly. They may also stumble into better ways of building them in the process.

Warne Mountain Tech vs Leupold Back Country Rail

Warne for me. The old Leupold steel was good. Their new aluminum bases seem to soft of a material for me. I’ve been able to flex their aluminum scope rings by hand.

Anyone with experience on emergency food rations?

This has good articles on having a sufficient supply. Be careful it is a rabbit hole. https://modernsurvivalblog.com/ Best advice. Double and triple up on what you already eat as mentioned above. Add a few larger long term items every month. If you have a LDS store near you it is an...

Which cal for varmint bolt gun?

6.5 Grendel for Thermal hunting. If not then 22 CM. The 223 kills but has issues with DRT for larger hogs unless a CNS hit. I switched from 223 to the Grendel in my AR thermal and just picked up a Brownell’s barreled action in Grendel for my bolt version. Hunting at night is a totally...

    Short-Term Memory Loss "Solutions?"

Maybe just lose the phone. I was recently laid off after 17 years with an IT company. I had 3 months between jobs, primarily due to taking the first month off just to breathe. I was amazed at how peaceful life can be without the stress of work. I was easier to get along with in the house...

    Best picatinny rings?

Warne MT's work well and are less expensive than the NF. I have both. Yes they are better built than the less expensive rings. I too have multiple Encore barrels and am set up similarly. Burris extreme are also a good option, just heavier.

SWFA 10x42 for varmint hunting <300yds?

Credo for certain I have a Trij Huron 3x9x40 and Swfa 10x. The Huron wins for hunting. The FOV is obviously bigger, turret are smaller, better reticle and glass.

    Budget Cooler Recommendations

I’ve had good luck with the Coleman’S. I would also suggest picking up a $10 sleeping bag that u zips like a blanket and covering the cooler. Amazing how much difference it makes with keeping ice longer.
