in all seriousness I have plans to purchase 3 for certain in this size range in the next year. Need 1 ASAP for a build. Then it is replacing some of my NF MOA’s as funding affords and I can sell them to make the switch to MIL’s.
If this matches the specs listed it will be my first choice...
NF, Trij, Maven 1.2 and SWFA are all in the running. If I needed one today I would go with a Trijicon Credo on the 2x10 FFP mil for the budget or the NF used. I have the NF’s SHV 14x’s on 2 AR’s but they are the MOA model. If not maybe wait for the SWFA to launch their new models.
anyone have experience with their sizing. I intentionally ordered a size smaller as I want them tight around my ankle. A previous brand fit to loose for my liking.
Trijicon credo and Huron passed and are affordable. I believe the glass is an improvement over a scope that is of comparable price from 20 years ago. You also have the satisfaction of knowing it will likely hold zero over many other options.
wear you standard hunting pant, watpeoorf gaiters and these. Once hot these are in the pack.

If you want a new rifle. My build list would be
Tikka - pick your caliber and model but keep it around $1100 max 308 or smaller
Warne pic rail $100
Warne MT rings - $130
Trijicon huron 3x9 - $350. Euro optics. Just passed the drop test.
Also consider UM rings if you go with a Tikka...
I only use them in 22’s. When they do fail it’s cheap and fun to sight back in. Try and keep yourself from running 5 rounds in a 10/22 to sight in and then you HAVE TO finish off the magazine. Then you should finish off the box just to be safe.
The 1” Warne MT’s are hard to find right now. Warne came out with a new model and I hope they are not the replacement for the MT’s.
I would strongly consider the Trij Huron. I just mounted. Credo on a friend rifle. Other than the illumination I don’t see a difference between the 1”
Models.
So now that Form has official tested this model I am comfortable recommending to my friends and family. I now need to bed this rifle before I do anymore testing with it.
I am very happy with the results. Shows me I need to bed my rifle before I do anymore testing. This is also evidence to demonstrate bedding benefits more than just increased accuracy.
I now have a reasonably priced option to recommend to my Vortex/ Leupold buddies. The testing is...
