    Unfortunately I did not. I actually had located a nice Muley buck prior to the hunt so I focused on him. The unit I was in is very limited on Coues, and the access is really difficult. I’ll be more focused on them going forward, and this spring I’ll be adding AZ to my application strategy.

    That was my concern with the 3/4s. I feel like that opening could really negate the warmth in certain situations. I’ll look at the Kenai pants too. I agree that I probably don’t need the warmest puffy pants, I feel like a good heavy base with either my talus or mountain pants is pretty warm already.

    Hmm very interesting. Obviously SFP subtensions don’t match across magnification ranges but I’ve never noticed 1/2 MOA shifts in zero. Back to the range I suppose!

    Changing magnification isn’t the same mechanism in the optic as dialing turrets. Whether they un zero themselves or not, changing magnification won’t move the zero, unless you bump the turret while doing so.

    For what it’s worth, Leupold just redid the VX3s to be VX3HDs. It made a small jump in the glass quality over the old VX3i’s, but not much.
