    I’ll have to take a look at my notes when I get back to them. I know I loaded it a tad slower to help with recoil, she’s not a very big person. Last thing I want her to do is develop a flinch because the rifle is punishing her. Accuracy trumps magnum everyday!

    My daughter killed this bull at 477 yards. He dropped in his tracks and found the bullet lodged in his opposite side hide. Remington 700 youth model. 150 grain ELD-X being pushed by Varget. It’s an awesome cartridge.

    Since you’re bringing a wood stove, I’d highly recommend bringing along another man over the age of 65. In the hours leading up to lights out, continue to feed him his favorite drink. Chances are after about 6-7 hours of sleep he’s going to need to pee and since he’s up-Go ahead and stoke the fire.

    Watched 11 bucks this morning in Wyoming. 2 were hard horned already. It looked like 1 of them just rubbed it off last night, he was still a little bloody and velvet hanging off his bases.

    Just do it. You can adjust if it’s not what you thought is was going to be. We moved here from Nebraska so the wind and winters aren’t much of a shock. After we moved we would compare our current city to the last and it was really comparable, with summers in Wyoming winning hands down.
