    If that were my budget I’d scrounge up a little more and get the Stone Glacier. Smaller, lighter, warmer. What kind of environment do you hunt in primarily? If you are somewhere that is crazy rainy and humid, versus somewhere like Colorado, it will help determine which bag is better for you.

    How tall of a tripod for hunting?

    Slik 634 without the center post allows me to glass standing, shoot standing, and then drop it way down if needed to shoot off like a bipod. I’m 5’9”, for reference.

    Find what the rifle likes to shoot. Mine loves Federal Sierra match,, close second Hornady Precision Hunter eld-x. Tried Sierra Gamekings and looked like a shotgun pattern.

    Consider one that allows you to message even if your phone craps out. Garmin Inreach mini is the direction I went. I like being able to message and see a screen even if my phone is dead.

    Seam sealing Tarptent

    I used two packs doing my double rainbow, better to have too much than not enough. Also, they recommend on their videos not only doing the inside seams on the floor, but also some strips on the floor for gripping your sleeping pad. I just did some strips on my pad itself.
