Sitka cloudburst is the best I’ve found. But after a few days you’ll be wet regardless. Don’t forget the water proof socks. Life changing when you live in a rain forest.
I carry a lever action as a backup but in certain conditions it becomes my primary. When hunting all week in a cloud with < 100 ft if visibility or a coastal jungle it’s simply the right tool and is much better than my scoped .270 Weatherby.
I just cycle until empty and dig around in the dark...
Zuckerberg’s brilliance is that he figured out how to get his platform to effect dopamine levels much the same way as cocaine and other drugs. An addiction that includes all the highs and lows and nonsensical thinking of any other drug.
The only side effect I experienced was being able to see the Milky Way crystal clear when stepping out of tent.
I got the surgery in the afternoon and the next morning was rock hopping across creeks with a loaded pack.
It’s been almost a decade for me and still far and away the best...
A steelhead river when my Brittany met a Springer.
After a couple of fishing trips I was invited to bring my pup out to their elk camp for some grouse hunting. The idea was they send me out in the truck and report back any elk sightings.
So about an hour after I roll into this archery camp...
Adventure Vans are the new Subaru here in the NW. Tons of them here even in DT Seattle. I found myself in the middle of a bass tourney last spring and I was the only one in the camp without a van. Some are remarkably awesome!!
If it has WiFi make sure you name it “FBI Van 3” or “NSA domestic...
All my cams are on public land and the only issue I ever had was a bear that decided to destroy one. The more cams I place the better I’ve become at finding others cams.
I pulled two yesterday from an area I’m not hunting this year. Got this dude checking my SIM card. I only use lithium...
I don’t really target them but I always have the .17 hmr in the truck for when the opportunity arrives. I’ve got a bumper crop of jalapeños just waiting for grouse :).
Fires may suck for elk hunters while actively burning but they’re wonderful for elk and hunters over the following years.
I wish my elk area would burn again.
So far this fire season is shaping up like last year which is very few fires in the northwest.
Nope!
Not only is everyone’s feet different but my left foot is different from my right. I can fit my right foot in pretty much any boot/shoe but my left foot is comfortable in about 10% of them!
+3 on the bedrug.
Only problem I’ve had is the canopy door freezing shut. A few minutes running the Mr Buddy unlocked it but sort of freaked me out at first.
