Spec-wise you're right, but having used both the Native feels like I have more room. Probably partially because that kangaroo pouch is used in the calculation, so the main bag even while expanded is still smaller. I could be wrong, but again in practice I felt like I have more room.
Haha, yeah no worries; I could see why it looked that way. I just copied and pasted the description in an attempt to eliminate a click and didn't feel like trying to explain what the chamber sliders were for.
Yeah, I mean it really depends what you want. I think the purpose of this pack is for the guy who wants a Kifaru laptop bag honestly. The 14er is a great day/bivy hunting pack. I got one for my dad for christmas. However the 14er is big enough he could use it for backpacking if need be as I'll...
I think it would be great if you planned to use it as a laptop bag as the organizer one is padded and made for a 15" laptop. I'm not sure about the PALS version myself, but I guess if you had a bunch of tacticool accessories you might like it.
Urban RuckA rucksack style bag, the Urban Ruck keeps things simple and straight forward. Some of the features include two zippered pockets, a space behind the main compartment for one of our new chamber slider panels (available in two styles and colors) and a belt pouch matrix on the front...
If you're gonna spend money on a budget pack, I'd highly recommend the USMC ILBE pack, which is essentially an Arcteryx Bora 95 but in camo and much cheaper. If you keep an eye on ebay you can usually get one for 80-120, but be careful as there are a lot of incomplete packs on there with just...
Differences are this:
1) PALS on the center part vs connection tabs
2) Vertical zip on the wing pockets vs top zip
3) Plastic sheet in the wing pockets to keep shape
4) Water bottle pockets on the inside of the wing pockets is now gusseted and the full height of the wing
5) Load lifter holes in...
Moment of inertia, which will affect your mobility/agility, is defined as each mass time the square of it's distance from your center of mass (I=mr^2). As such, the closer you can get all your gear (not just the heavy stuff) to your center of gravity the better. Even though he isn't capable of...
I'm not a huge fan of this idea. It will move a lot of weight further away from your back. Depending on your food, the weight per volume is not nearly as much as some of the heavier objects in your pack like tent and compressed sleeping bag. This unnecessarily increases your moment of inertia...
Also, there is a new lighter Kifaru frame coming out in the next month or so; so I don't know how long it will take Corey to get it in, but make sure to check it out. It may or may not fit you better.
No one said anything was classified. But it's good opsec (operational security) to practice need to know (NTK). There are also export control concerns in that at some point depending on what they are designing it could become export controlled and putting it on the internet where a foreign...
They don't really talk about that much cause I think a lot of it goes to spec ops. I know they've done some custom jobs for carrying specific things as well as just designing packs. I'm pretty sure the AMR and a few other packs came out of collaborations with spec ops guys.
This is why I was determined to go with a Google phone this time around. They guarantee 3 years of updates at a minimum. I have a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet and it still runs like new.
I'm not entirely convinced that companies like Samsung are doing this intentionally, but they are hardware companies...
Yeah, they also require your CID number rather than just your drivers license in the past. So even in-staters may need to call and get things straightened out if you don't have that number. It is printed on old licenses though.
What do you mean the buckle part isn't catching? Are you having the problem seen in the video or something else? The video is showing a buckle that is catching too well (sort of) as the belt isn't quite big enough to get the right angle for the belt to slip through the buckle without catching...
