CO is ruthless. They call endlessly every other day for like 3 months until you answer. I certainly believe their numbers. They also include a sample rate and a response rate in the first paragraph and table. They got a 50% response rate for those selected and sampled 110k elk hunters (about 10%...
Completely agree and I probably didn't make my position clear. I don't think MT should change their pricing; I think that it's good for the system if some states have higher costs and/or lower tag counts and manage for trophies as it helps keep the balance. My earlier point was that duration of...
They're for making noise and wasting money on ammo. Money would be better spent on some fireworks; same effect... Noise making: check. Wasting money in the process: check. Whatever you would've aimed at wouldn't have gotten any holes in it anyways, just whatever was around it. I mean the whole...

The M3 doesn't shoot 4k or slow mo (high frame rate) and the autofocus sucks. As Matt said, the lens and sensor are practically the same, but you get a lot better computing power. When I do a 30 sec exposure it takes another 20-30 seconds to process the image before I can take another one. Also...
Echo what Matt said. The most important thing to reiterate is that you're dropping $700-900 on a camera that can't zoom more than like 2.5x; so if that bothers you you should look at the a6000 series or higher. The a6000 with a 20mm pancake lens isn't that much bigger.
I have the RX100M3 and...
I just pulled up the 2016 reports for elk and deer in MT. The average time spent hunting for non-resident hunters was 8 days and resident hunters was 9.7 days. Deer is even worse at 5.2 days for non-res and 7.6 days for res. Colorado Archery Elk, which is a 30 day season, shows an average of 7.1...
Most people coming from out of state only have 5-10 days and aren't going to be moving around much for the same reason, so I find that argument lacking for most NR hunters. It's getting much harder to draw a deer tag here in CO, so MT does have that going for it as well as the license costs...
Get a used Kifaru hunter frame once the market is flooded after the new frame goes on sale within the next 2 weeks and pick up a cargo panel for carrying the tree stand. Once you get the frame the heavier tree stand won't bother you as much.
For someone who isn't gonna use your binos a ton...
Looks like that one probably supports Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 ONLY based on the device list and the fact that it says "USB PD not supported. Does not fast charge Pixel phones".
That will probably get you most of the way there, but you'll also need 6 open-ended females and 2 more autolock males and you'll end up not needing the 2 ladderloc females that come in the compression kit.
It may be best to call and see if they'll sell you exactly what you need which is 6...
The new USB-PD protocol is the fastest form of charging, but requires both the charger and phone to support it. Anker only has one charger that supports it.
The next fastest solution, which is a lot more prevalent is Qualcomm Quick Charge, which is on most new phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon...

Just don't make the same mistake I and many of us did. If you have to put up with the MOLLE for another year and get a top of the line pack. I wasn't sure if I wanted to drop Kifaru type money on a pack and wasted a bunch buying a Kuiu instead. That thing gave me glimpses of what a high end pack...
Haha, I was the one that made both comments. Yes, it does mess with your moment of inertia and create larger point loads on your shoulders than necessary; but if day hunting you aren't going to be carrying as much weight in your pack so your pack will weigh 15lbs instead of 60lbs.
All Kifaru bags have this capability even if they don't have a "meat shelf"; just carry a grab-it and you've got a meat shelf.
To clarify me earlier comments; I didn't realize you were looking for a day hunting pack; I was under the impression you were looking for a backpacking pack. I...
