After 3 days of scouting and 2 days of hunting it all came together.
My buddy and myself probably looked over 50 bucks In two days and on the second day in the heat of the day was able to take this beautiful buck as he was coming into water.

I know that’s the worst part about Colorado. I’m done going for high point units after this. I think i would rather hunt more often even if quality isn’t as good.

Kind of a poor acorn crop in my area of the southwest. But there is a decent amount of choke cherries.
I usually just hunt water but it’s looking pretty wet for opener.
This has been my experience to a T. I wish leftovers were open to residents first for a period then Non Res. This would insure locals (like my self) get a tag.
