This set of Swarovski EL 12x50 Field Pro Binoculars was bought brand new by me from CameraLand in 2019. They have seen only light use and are in great shape (glass looks flawless to my eye and armor shows only minor wear in places). This comes with the Outdoorsman stud installed (by the...
When you get your binos, call Swaro and verify the serial number. No way in hell I'd buy alpha glass from an unauthorized retailer. Calling @gr8fuldoug has always been worthwhile for me. Good luck.
Plenty of good pictures of damage in this thread. My son (9 year old) killed two whitetails with the 77 TMK last year (my first direct experience with them killing animals) and while I don't have wound pictures, the damage was remarkable. I was a major skeptic when I first started reading...
Funny, I live in a very hot/humid environment. My 100 yard zeros hold (i.e. no POI shift) on my rifles throughout the year (even when traveling out West). Sounds like you are building in an excuse for a scope not holding zero...
Rifles stored in gun safe with humidity control to minimize...
I'm in a similar boat (2 30-mm and 1 34-mm). My understanding is we can email them to see about having our 30 mm sets shipped before the 34mms arw done. I'm debating whether to do that or not...
I've seen it and you are only nuts if you stick with this scope that you have now seen doesn't work correctly.
Nope.
Yes, they SHOULD but many do not.
Agree that is a lot of money. Fortunately there ARE scopes out there well under $1000 that do work correctly. I'd recommend you spend...
@Unknown Munitions If someone ordered a couple sets of 30 mm lows AND a set of 34 mm lows, will they ship separately? I ask because I have not received a shipping notification for my 30 mm lows yet.
Out of a 17 inch 30-06, 2800 from a 200 grain bullet is screaming fast. Heck, 2700 is way up there honestly. Make sure you've got your life insurance, etc in order before you put more powder in that case and hit the range. Good luck!
Have you checked local shops? A store local to me has kept a steady supply of Lapua .223 brass (i haven't been there in a few weeks but they have had some for months).
If you like chasing zero every time out, they are great. I've seen a few of these and they all had wondering zero. And don't let your rifle tip over from being leaned against a tree/truck/etc as your zero will be lost. In short...there are better options for an aiming device.
I'm using 24.5 gr TAC under a 77 gr TMK out of a Tikka without issue. However, I would not start there but rather start lower and work up, ensuring you don't hit pressure.
I dont have a picture available (my father in law has borrowed my Tikka/NF 2.5-10x42 combo for the time being and he lives 2 states over) but I can attest that it works just fine.
Let me simplify the confusion for you. Sierra 77gr TMK=serious big game killing. Oh, and the 73 and 75 ELD-M work well too. Get a Tikka .223, slap a SWFA 6x on it, and go kill stuff.
Not what you want to hear but I will say it anyways. SWFA fixed 6x or 3-9x42 for scope and either Sportsmatch or UM Tikka mounts (they use the integral Tikka rail and are better mounts than anything you're considering).
