I haven’t had any water issues with my Idaho’s(taller version of the Wyoming). Nothing extreme with them yet but they stay dry. I agree with what @Stingray said. Gaiters are a good investment with any boot to help keep water from “wicking” down into the sock/boot.
This is my first MR pack. But the frame is solid and the extra padding they added to the hip belt is amazing. I haven’t do anything extreme with it. I have put 50lb dumbbell in it with some misc items on a hike and it is extremely comfortable.
Definitely check out Crispis. My buddy and I just picked up some Idaho’s and so far they are like walking on clouds. Being I have small ankles they are tall with plenty of support.
Hi everyone. Just signed up as I have been accruing hunting gear since moving to Idaho! Looking forward to learning about active/mountain hunting. Grew up hunting whitetail in Michigan. Can’t wait to hunt elk and mule deer here!
