Looking to add the 10x42 EL Range to the inventory. Anything different between a 2017 and a 2016 or even a 2015? Can save a few bucks buying 2016's or even a 2015 model but what is the difference?
Thanks guys!
I have mixed feelings on the subject-
I look at it similar too hunting bears over bait. There are pluses and minuses. One thing you can bet- there are only going to be more and more of these in use on private land... where pressured animals go... so not sure this accomplishes a whole lot...
Agree 100%. I think about what I spent on glass (very decent Vortex stuff) before trying a friends Swaro spotter. I started buying Swaro stuff the following day! The extender- game changer!
Spotting game with Swaro stuff has really become enjoyable. Last night my son and I spent two hours up...
I have an ATX eye piece for sale if you want to save a little money. I bought it 3 months ago and replaced it with the BTX. Shoot me a PM if you are interested...
Can't recommend anyone but hiring a guide makes a ton of sense in your situation. A good guide will teach you a ton and get you into the elk! I would without a doubt hire a pro!
Brand new ATX eye piece. Never been on a hunt. Perfect condition! $1900.00 I replaced it with a BTX so I am letting it go. Happy to offer serial numbers and pictures to anyone interested.
I purchased these last Fall and they are in perfect condition. They have an Outdoorsman or Swarovski stud- Can't remember which but I will look. The binoculars come with a brand new (used one time) Alaska Guide Creations Denali carrier. Only reason I am selling is that I have the new Swaro BTX...
I have mine and I am not about to sell it. :)
I have a brand new (purchased last year) 15x56 SLC that is going get dusty... My biggest decision is do I carry an 8x30 or 10x42 with the BTX. I am thinking the 8x30 may be the ticket.
As a side note- the BTX with the 1.7 doubler is almost not...
Great trip guys- weather was perfect and the fishing was good. Horses were well behaved- all and all a very good trip. Our plan is to make this an annual trip- especially now that we have a better idea regarding the lay of the land. Can't thank Justin enough for his help. It really made the trip...
Outdoorsman says the micro is fine right up through the 95 objective with the ATX- which is probably comparable to the BTX with the 65. My issue is more of an ergonomic at this point. Will know more in a few days.
Congrats on your BTX. U will be pleased!
Getting ready to blast off for CO but couldn't wait till tomorrow to just take a look through the thing.
Initial thoughts- the BTX is freaking off the hook crazy awesome. It is far better than I had ever imagined it could be. The 1.7 magnifier is a must have if you are making the investment in...
I always recommend a 20 degree lower limit than what you think you will need. A built in margin of safety and comfort is just a smart thing. Some achieve this by layering but there is a lot to be said for comfort...
Having both quilts and bags I find a down quilt is more and more my go to...
