Check out Reel Game Calls. By far the easiest call to use that I've seen that also sounds really good. It won't help you learn a diaphragm, but it's great for calling.

Shoot man. I hope you're okay. This happened to my buddy last year two days before his hunt. He was still able to shoot but it damaged the tendon. He had to get surgery to get most of the carbon fragments out of his hand. Hopefully yours didn't leave too many in there. Best of luck to you.

The Kelvin Active is much thinner than the Kenai. The Kelvin Light would be more comparable. The new Kelvin Light is made of the soft/quiet material as well (at least in the Sub Alpine, not sure about OC).

They are usually really quick. I sent some binos in a few weeks ago and I think I got them back about a week later.

They hold up much better than the FL boxers in my experience. I've gotten a lot of use out of mine with no issues. The FL ones I've had get holes pretty quick.

I changed from 10x42 to 10x50 and I like the 50 better. They are definitely brighter. I have also tried 12x50 and they are nice too. I think the 10x50 is a nice size and gives you the largest exit pupil. But I am no optics expert. I just liked looking through the larger objective glass better...
It's not about the money. It would be nice to know which tags I'm going to draw sooner so we can plan. Other states can put out draw results in a matter of a couple weeks after applications. With online applications and today's technology, there's no reason we should have to wait three months...
That's no joke. Drives me crazy that they make us wait so long for the draw in Utah. Should be a much shorter process.

We use the Rinos too. Have the 650 but just picked up the new 755t. Being able to see where everyone is at is nice and the radios work better than most 2-way radios.
Haven't used the messaging function a whole lot, but it's a nice option.

I prefer the fixed length z poles. I picked up some black diamond carbon poles a year or two back that were discontinued so I only paid like $65-$70 for really nice poles. You should be able to find deals. I have really liked them. No need to adjust the length up and down for downhill or uphill...
^^^^ this. Also went with the Promaster 525c from S&S with the Benro S2 head. It's a very nice setup. They now have a Slik CF 522 tripod which looks nice as well.

Sounds like a crazy story. That would have got the blood pumping! Maybe you could start another thread and tell it...?

I would add to the bee comparison that pretty much the entire population is exposed to bees, with a certain percentage being allergic, whereas a much smaller number of people are exposed to bears and cats. I imagine if you looked at the number of encounters with hunters because of where they go...
Nice. I have a Kuiu harness as well that I've been using the last couple of years and I've liked it ok, but there are a couple things that could be better. I only have a few days of use on the AGC Hybrid, but so far so good.
I own both the Sitka Kelvin Lite and the Kuiu SD. They are both nice. The Kuiu is lighter. The cut on them is pretty much the same. The Kelvin model I have has the stretch side panels so there is not insulation in that section, just a fleece material. The older model was insulation all around...
For those that haven't seen it, the new Kelvin seemed really similar to the Kuiu Kenai. It's a soft material that is very quiet and comfortable. Seems like it would be a nice piece. I only tried it on at the expo.
