Good suggestions as always. One thing to consider is grip strength, elk meat is heavy and awkward to hold and carry. Hanging an elk quarter up in a tree by yourself is not easy in the least bit.
Yes they have!! I took about a 20 year hiatus from the sport,last bike was a 2000 schwinn homegrown. Just picked up a '19 Rocky Mountain altitude, long squishy suspension, good disc brakes,.....no more front derailleur! It's a whole different world.
As a resident I totally agree. They could just make it illegal to touch any antler on the mountain for all I care. Watching full grown men go to the lengths they do for what it is......quite honestly is pathetic.
I used to go out every spring with the dog and always found a shed or 2. It's gotten so stupid crazy with all the jackoff influencers I don't even bother anymore. Still go out but I'm usually bushwacking into some fishing hole. They can have it.
