More pictures from scouting. Quite a few different bears are regulars in the area. The big cinnamon boar is top dog. He tried to destroy two of the cameras already. Can't wait to get this season started.
I hunt mostly on the eastern slope of the Sierra's where it is quite dry (and can be really hot in archery season). We look for water as the bears need it everyday when temps are above 90 degrees. From trail camera footage it's interesting how often bears are moving midday to water sources.

Went on a scouting trip this weekend for bears and deer. Found this sow munching on green manzanita berries when the thunderstorm moved through. Will post some trail camera footage later. Had to freehand video through binoculars, although she came within 80 yards at one point.
