When we lived in north central WA we had lots of rattlers, have no idea how many I killed around the place. I was a commercial beekeeper and had our hives spread out all over Okanogan county. The snakes liked to crawl under the hives but would usually leave on their own if we were working...
Fake news! :-))
We've got it pretty sweet here on the island. Small log operation here stacks up doug fir logs that they aren't going to mill for us to buck up. I cut 3-4 cords/year.
As others have recommended you should either get a 3/4T (or 1T) to pull that trailer or downsize the trailer and use a half ton. I tow a heavy 25' LOA camper (7500#) with 900# tongue weight with a 2014 F150 and it works fine but I wouldn't want to pull anything longer or heavier with it...
Glad your tinnitus has decreased, that's great! Unfortunately after talking to several Drs and audiologists over a couple of decades your experience is rare. It's different for everyone but normally once it begins it's there to stay. I'm religious about hearing protection but had some jobs...
Sorry you have hearing loss and tinnitus. Not much can be done for the tinnitus, hearing aids didn't help mine except they help a bit to hear things at the higher frequencies that most tinnitus is. I had hearing aids from Costco for 20+ years, they always did a good job for me and about half...
Used to shoot Exodus and they are great broadheads but I've switched to TOTArrow XLs. They are more accurate than the Ex in my opinion. You do have to keep the edges oiled in wet weather though or they'll rust.
Used a motorcycle to hunt with last year in MT. Single tracks can be nasty, deep ruts, mud bogs, etc. I dumped a couple of times at slow speed with a heavy pack on and my bow strapped onto the pack. Nicked one limb that held up ok for hunting but had to replace it. Think about how your are...
Like Augie said, your'e going to be cold in the morning and evening and hot during the day. I wear a light pair of First light pants, corrugate I think. They are very light but have held up well for several years now. I wear the Kuiu merino zip off thermals under them so I can take off/put on...
If it's down on a steep hillside (and not hung up too bad in trees, etc) check out what's below you. We've slid them down to flat spots, old roads. If on snow be careful not to get below them, they can gain speed fast!
I had something similar, a hook on my pack belt. It was good for when I stopped and wanted to glass but the rest of the time it was kind of a pain. I carry my bow by the handle so the string is up and it would always catch on the hook and after awhile I noticed it was wearing the string pretty...
I talked to someone and they said a couple of weeks. As I understand it, only the amount of the big game combo is refunded, not the license, bird, fishing, etc. Might be wrong, this is the first time to not hunt elk in MT.
ScissorBills up by the hotel at the ski area is good for grub and beer. Second the Riverhouse for BBQ - better be hungry. The Corral bar and restaurant has great food and atmosphere (not Big Sky), maybe 4-5 miles south of Riverhouse . If you are looking for really good food ($$$) try Buck's T4.
