If this has already been posted I didn't see it. The ATF is proposing to change the definition of a firearms dealer. This will essentially prevent anyone from selling face to face (according to GOA). The gun grabbers have organized and have flooded the comments with an overwhelming percentage...
Whitefish is full of the rich and famous but there are still small towns not too far from there that might be worth checkng out. Bozeman/Bridger/Big Sky - great place to live but pricey. $2500 yr for season pass I'm told at BSky.
A lot of Bosch fans here and maybe they are great and we just got a lemon. About 10 years old now and we've had several problems with it and replaced electronics and had a couple of repairmen out to try and figure things out. Only way we can get it to run now is by repeatedly pushing the start...
My last business before selling it and retiring started as a handyman. Did anything someone would pay me to do. Mostly worked for property managers doing repairs: paint, drywall, carpentry, electrical, welding, concrete, asphalt. Really small stuff. One of my customers asked if I could do...
If you've ever had a close encounter with a grizzly I'm pretty sure you voted "I'm bear chow". They are so fast and so incredibly strong that you're not going to stand a chance unless you are armed. Even the small one (250 lbs ?) that I had a very close stare down with I could tell was...
My oldest son takes his Golden retriever with us elk hunting (archery, rifle). He's well trained and never makes a sound when elk are around. He also is great at alerting us if a griz is close, attacked one when a griz was sneaking up behind them while walking up a logging road. No downside...
I'm not local but my two sons are. I don't know of anywhere in that area but hopefully someone more familiar will know of something. We've shot at a piece of public (state?) west of Clyde Park a couple of times.
This would be a total wasted of taxpayer dollars. Apart from the fact that there is a healthy population of griz in BC that are free to cross into WA at anytime, they are already here! They will expand their territory just fine on their own, no need to spend our money to do it. Stupid.
Move in aggressively when you hear them raking, you can sometimes get very close without them hearing or seeing you. Tough to get them to come out of cover but if you have good wind and can close the distance on a raking bull without him seeing you it can work great.
Good luck Paul! I'm not leaving until about 9/8 or so for MT. Really hoping to call one in for my son who hasn't killed one with his bow yet. I've got a bull tag so will stay until I connect, or archery season ends.
5 miles with 40lb pack on trails. Bugling, listened to more Elknut. Not going to make opening day in MT which is a bummer, but will get there a week later. Most of my gear is ready from past years so shouldn't be a big deal when time to load up for the trip to son's house in Bozeman.
The pinks are in here in the San juan islands WA. Kids and tourists think they're real salmon, but they're a lot of fun to catch. Took the grandkids out yesterday and we had a blast. Hooked about 20 to get our limit of 8. Youngest grandson reeled in two when we got a double header, he was...
