I dont think you quite understand the cb mount. The cb mounts themselves are what come in 9/16", 5/8x24 etc. Your new suppressor comes with one cb mount, and it appears it is 5/8 which is the most common.
The threads on the suppressor itself are much much bigger, I don't know that exact number...
30cal is what you need. Anything 30cal and under will work with that. Some claim that having it closer to caliber size will be quieter, but I think it's a fairly minute difference. Start with 30cal, then look at other options if you decide to buy more suppressors later on

That's a fair point. Personally I just dont like the performance of bergers and most recently the eldx at closer ranges. My first few kills with the eld-x were at 400+ yards and i was very happy, then had a couple at less than 250 and was really disappointed. I am more often in the sub 500 club...
It looks like to me after going through the thread on lrh and talking with badlands that at high velocity/close range they will shed pedals similar to a hammer but at lower velocity/long range they provide a good mushroom like a barnes. However expand at much lower velocities than the barnes and...
Just got mine so can't say anything towards accuracy honestly. There's 4 close to me and they all shoot fantastic tho

Curious if anyone has some updated info on these as we are mostly through another season?? I was set on starting with hammers for my new 7 saum build but the bc of these bulldozers is tough to ignore. Thinking about the 150gr bd2. I will have an 8 twist, long action and lots of mag room so no...
once you start looking around at load data threads you'll find a ton of guys running 18-22" barrels. It is definitely catching on. At the end of the day the data really isnt a whole lot different, you just loose some speed. However depending on the cartridge, powder and bullet choices the losses...
My carbon six prefit came in 2.5 months. Ordered end of August and came mid November.
They are running another sale right now I see

Haven't had my suppressor for very long, but I can pretty much already tell you I will hardly ever shoot a gun without it again.
Since I've got it I've been getting guns threaded, new guns, and actually building one specifically to be suppressed.
I went back and forth a lot between 7 saum...
That does seem to be in the middle of the numbers that I am commonly finding, so that is kind of what I am leaning towards, thanks.
The problem i have with bergers is i've witnessed just as many failures as i have successful shots. (Fairly limited experience tho to be honest.) Ive seen them...
I know where I want to start, and while I have a lot of confidence in the hammers I'm new to them and just want to keep my options open down the road.
Killed more critters with standard accubonds than anything, just wish they made a heavier standard ab. Not a fan of bergers, been using eld-x...
20" sendero contour, 1-8" twist. Came much quicker than they initially said it may take. So gotta love that!! This is my first carbon six, have a couple friends that have had great success with them. And my Smith also highly recommended one

I'm building a 7 saum on tikka action. Carbon six just got my barrel done so its time to start giving my smith some specs of what I want. Doing it on a long action so I have no real restrictions in mag length. I know i can get a lot more out of it if i have it cut longer than saami, so no reason...
Mountain tactical told me it would work good. I have the magazine but no rounds to try it yet. I sure hope it works!!

Just need a magnum bolt face (I'm converting a 300wsm.) Since mine is a short action I'm gonna have him swap out the bolt stop and run it on long action, from what I've read it's an extremely easy process. Will have all the magazine space I'd ever want. Also going to use a 5 round mountain...
I am in the midst of a saum build as well. I'm going on tikka action though, adding ag alpine hunter stock, carbon six 20" barrel with 8 twist, zeiss v4 and finished off with an ultra 7 suppressor. My goal is to shoot the 155 hammer, or 175gr lrab as a second choice. Should have all my pieces...
