I use the Argali Carbon if weight is an issue. It's light enough and slim enough for all my caping needs.
If I'm not counting oz, I use the Gerber replaceable blade knife to cape my animals. If I use a strop, I can remove the cape with just one blade.
Argali carbon for me. This will be my third year using it. It's big enough to break down an animal but will still allow you to cape and turn eyes/nose/lips/ears.
RAT Model 1 is my go to. It's cheap and takes a beating. Mine has been a daily carrier for the past few years on the farm, in the office, and in the field.
I had a first year Viper HD. I bought it for around $900 and sold it for $650.
My scope had blue hue to it that made it seem like everything was in twilight type light. I haven't looked through a Razor. Sorry. I have seen good deals on the first gen Razors. And you can run a Swaro eyepiece on...
Full disclosure: I'm vax'd w/no booster
The contract company I work for required a vaccination. No word yet on booster. There are a few contractors on different contracts who are not vax'd and they have get tested once a week.
I'm building a 7x57 on a pre-64 mod 70 action. Mine will be safari style with barrel band sling swivel, Winchester safari rear sight and banded front sight. They're one of the best for classic custom rifles.
