    My favorite Vortex optics are the Japanese made Viper HD 10x42. They are a solid bino and sadly you are unable to buy the Japanese made ones anymore. I have hopes that the new Razor 13-39x56 spotting scope will be a good option for those that can't justify the price of a Kowa or Swarovski.

    Pizza oven

    2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp salt in mixing bowl. Add 1-1/2 tbs yeast and 1/2 tsp sugar to 1 cup warm water. Wait 10 min for yeast to start doing its thing. Mix together and set out foe a few hours. I grab a baseball size all of dough and roll thin.

    Not gas fired but I have the pizza oven insert for the Green Mountain smoker. I cooked around 15 pizzas last night for my daughter's birthday party. You're probably close in price if you buy a used Green Mountain and a new pizza oven compared to the large Ooni.

    ID Scouting…best use of time. What would you do?

    I scouted Idaho during the archery last season and saw a pretty good buck on the last day. I didn't want to bump him because I knew I would be back for the rifle opener 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, I never saw that buck again. I'd go out a few days early, find a good buck and camp on hm.

    180 VLD on Alaska moose

    I shot a Shiras with the 185 hunting VLD out of a 300 Wby. It took 2 rounds but I would not say that I was happy with the bullet performance. With the 7mm, I'd look at the heaviest bonded bullet you can find for big moose because you can also run into big bears.
