    lifting /crossfit shoe

I do boot camp workouts and have had four knee surgeries so running is awful for me. My PT friends all recommend Hokas. I tried them but couldn’t get the size right. They are VERY tall and absorb impact. My favorites now are these Under Armour. I can actually run some! Oh, I totally abused the...

    Cheap Stuff that Works

I bought the small blaze orange jacket for $9, cut off sleeves, essentially like a vest and sewed openings shut all around. Attached straps and used SJ auto lock clips to secure to my Mystery Ranch pack. Since It is tough but soft enough soft shell, and it has a long zipper and zippered pockets...

Can game animals see reflective stripes?

Thanks. I have several vests, I just want to wear this for sentimental value.

    .30-06 bullet

Maybe... all other variables equal, right? Different powders and charges affect perceived recoil. I understand velocity vs charge vs bullet weight, etc. My intended point was that it a 165 bullet may feel more familiar to a shooter that is used to 150. I’m not greatly experienced so will defer...

    Hip/lower back pain

My PT is a lifelong backpacker and corrected how my pack was loaded, shifting the heaviest gear high to between the shoulder blades and closer to back. Big relief. https://www.wildbackpacker.com/backpacking-gear/backpacks/how-to-pack-a-backpack/

    Another Ruger American Offering

My son has a go Wild in 6.5 CDM. Great gun. Best part is at 110 yd it shoots same group with Hornady 129 gr American Whitetail as with 143 gr Precision Hunter without scope adjustment. Nice to shoot former for WT/coyote and latter for Axis/hog.

    .30-06 bullet

Stock answer is whatever you and your rifle shoot well, right? 180 is too much if you anticipate recoil. I’m going with Hand loaded 165 gr Barnes TTSX again with Big Game powder. Lots of answers and opinions. I also hunt TX WT. If you shoot 150 now, consider how recoil tolerant you are and if...

Can game animals see reflective stripes?

Thanks. I’m specifically deciding if I’ll take the sewn in stripes off my blaze vest. They are the silver fabric type. I’m glad Desk Jockey notes the IR and UV sensitivity. I did doctoral research on UV signals and detection... but for a very different application, although I did study how...

Can game animals see reflective stripes?

I understand the many benefits and uses of reflective stripes/tape on gear and clothing and while hunting. I want to be seen by hunters but not game. During daylight hours, I’m pondering whether game can see the reflective strips I’m wearing. Anyone come across a solid answer? Elk are primary...

    CO Unit 66 Bear tag

Remember if you get a deer, you can hunt bear over the gut pile as bait. CPW considers this a natural occurrence.

Does an all-leather boot shrink or stretch over time?

I don’t feel mine have changed size, although my foot has. The three main pair have been through all weather conditions and abuse. I rinse off salt and keep them conditioned. My opinion, but Crispi boots should be on your list for consideration.

    Using salt on public land

Thanks. Unless of course it’s a gut pile from a legal take.

    Using salt on public land

Anyone know the rules in CO? I’ll look but if they’re not obvious would like to hear from those with experience.
