As the original poster, I new this thread would generate some reaction and discussion. However I didn’t quite predict it would be close to 500 posts. I honestly just wanted to share my opinion as a physician and one of first people vaccinated for those interested. I have followed it along very...
I received an email from my outfitter this week. He certainly (and rightfully so) did not seem optimistic. There are just too many things that would have to happen for the border to be reopened and even when it does I doubt recreational tourism and hunting will be the one of the first things...
Keep checking Midway website. They are getting it in periodically. I ordered 3 boxes on Wednesday at 4:00 pm and was already delivered. It was around $52/box so a little more than normal but not terrible. It was the Hornady 6.5 cm 143eldx.
As much as I am trying to remain optimistic about this upcoming season, unfortunately I am starting to see the writing on the wall...again. I just cant see the border reopening by this summer/fall. I certainly hope I am wrong.
Look at trail running jackets. I love my Arcteryx incendo. It weighs next to nothing, is extremely breathable and windproof where you need it. I use it all the time and probably my favorite layering piece.
I just received mine in the mail a couple days ago so far so good. It was a little fussy getting perfect alignment but seems to work well for me at least.
In fact we actually do have a very good idea of what some of the long term effects are. People that have a rough go or succumb to Covid is typically because they go into ARDS which has been studied a lot yet is very difficult to treat. The ARDS from Covid is not much different than from other...
Second that....I love mine. Used it for deer and elk. Now if Canada would open up so I can actually use it on my two sheep hunts that would be even better!
I received the second dose yesterday at noon. So far zero symptoms after the second dose other than mild shoulder soreness. Felt good enough to play hockey for a couple hours this morning. Two other colleagues of mine got the second dose yesterday as well. One same boat as me, the other had a...
Check out Dustin Roe with backcountry bc and beyond. I did a lot of research and felt comfortable with him. Have a hunt booked next year. He is very well respected. There are quite a few good ones. I think you get what you pay for but its still hunting at the end of the day.
48 hrs after first dose. Zero side effects so far. Again will repost how the second dose goes. Set to get it Jan 8th. Hopefully thread not shut down by than. Every physician in my practice (9 of us) elected voluntarily to get the vaccine.
Original poster here. Happy to report zero side effects after 24 hrs from first dose of vaccine other than some very mild deltoid soreness. Will see if the second dose has a different effect.
Again I absolutely respect anyones decision to abstain from the vaccine. My reasons for posting are to...
Typically a virus that encodes their genome in RNA, such as SARS-CoV-2, and influenza, tend to pick up mutations quickly as they are copied inside their hosts, because enzymes that copy RNA are prone to make mistakes .
Early sequencing suggests that the Sars-CoV-2 may posses a proofreading...
I understand the argument. The difference is getting vaccinated doesnt take anything away from anyone. And I have lots of guns...lol. I also fully support anyone who chooses not to get it. However with 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 5 years of residency, and 2 years of...
Vaccinated. Easy decision for me. If this brings us one step closer to normalcy it was worth it. If this prevents one person I care about or one of my patients from getting COVID-19 it was worth it. This vaccine was not developed in months. It was developed through decades of scientific...
As a physician myself (MD) I will gladly take the vaccine. I am very healthy personally and in my late 30’s. I understand people have concerns but I will gladly take the risks associated with a vaccine rather than the known risks of Covid including pulmonary fibrosis, cardiac damage, etc which I...
