Like said above, there is no answer. Everyone is different. I'm a flatlander from Michigan too, and I just looked at some saved tracks from previous hunts. We average 8-10 miles and give or take 1500' of elevation gain per day. Some days more, some less. All depends, But I'm an old guy in my...
Man, lots of out of the country responses but with kids that age, I wouldn't be going that far. Rent a nice camper and go to Glacier, Yellowstone, etc. Depending if your family is into that sort of thing, but sounds a lot easier to me.
I went for a number of years during the "hay days" early to mid 2000's, but stopped when things slowed down. Sioux Narrows/Kenora area. I have a couple buddies who have continued going religiously every year. They have been struggling the last few years. Aside from some nocturnal cam pics...
Ordered from South Shore on 6/27. Got a call last Saturday am from Brad while installing components. Assuming he finished, and shipped this week seems pretty reasonable for a holiday week. Although that's an assumption, we'll see.. 5/30 would have me concerned.
Agree with a lot of the above. Tough to predict. I'm a less is more sleeper. Usually just boxers. But a few years ago, it was everything I had in my pack layered on and a zero degree quilt. Still wasn't enough.

I don't know if it's non-res vs res or just azzholes vs non-azzholes. You'll get some of both everywhere. We get plenty of non-res grouse and bear hunters near property I own and hold near and dear. Some of the guys I meet are great, some are far from it. Each get treated accordingly.
I just...
You revived an old thread, but I wouldn't be too concerned about that new Grizzly. I bought a 2007 660 new and put 27" tires on the day I bought it. Still use that machine and it just turned 10,000 non easy miles. She's getting tired, but still a beast.
I've been powering my hunting cabin with one for the past three years. Pretty much year round. I own a Bluetti. I believe a comparable new model is the Bluetti AC200 Max. I run all lights, tv, outlets for charging. I paired it with four 200W panels. Things like vacuum and microwave will...
I live on a small 200 acre lake. Have the GF, kayaks, and a nice Old Town canoe. The canoe gets used very very rarely. Sounds more fun than it is. Kayaks get used frequently. My intention was to use it on the river, but I got a float tube for that and it is far more enjoyable.
