If you get a chance, can you post your gear list before you go and maybe tell us what worked after the trip? Also interested to hear how it is to work with Lance. He’s a big Kuiu supporter and they’ve put him in a number of videos. But I haven’t heard much from people who booked him...
I don’t know about alois but the Dalibor, cadog and vellus are each very quiet. I like the, better for close spot and stalk hunts than my Sitka gear. It’s much quieter. If yo
For what it is worth, I spend a lot of time in very cold temps and have dialed-in a layering system that works. I won’t recommend specific items because I don’t think it matters as much as people would think. Meaning the specific items don’t make as much of a difference as having a good...
Multiple bird sites report the leupold 15x56 are made in the same fscotry in japan from the same components as the Maven B4 and the Sig Zulu 15x56. both the maven and the si have been very well reviewed here at st birding sites. For $799, I’m not sure you can go wrong.
Ryan - I’m a big fan of kryptek Dalibor pants or Sitka timberline depending on weather and temperatures. I pair with either a Dalibor jacket or jetstream jacket. But I’m thinking of replacing both with the Bora pants and jacket given your comments on breahtability and then adding the takur...

I spoke to Meopta directly. These are Optically identical to the Meostar B1 HD. It’s just a different design. Those are the right prices according to them.
I’ve got the 3-18 x50. It’s okay. I’m not sure I’d do it again. I find the glass is good and the reticle is nice. But it doesn’t hold zero very well and the illuminated red fire dot in the center of the reticle is sometimes finicky. I think I’d look at Meopta or Maven next time. Generally...
i read on a birding site that the Maven B1 and Leupold BX-5 are the same except for the armor and eye cups. The exception is the 15x56 where the Maven B4 and Leupold BX5 are the same.
My colleague has one. He loves it. He has it on an AR style hunting rifle. He uses Swarovski on most of his rifles and uses swaro binoculars and spotting scopes. But he has this and recently took a nice 5x5 elk with it. Says glass is clear. Likes that it holds zero and he can dial with...
