I’ve had more than 9 puffs from different makers. All have been top quality makers and the two best I’ve had are Kryptek and Rab. Better than Patagonia or Cañada Goose candidly. I will say my two Sitka puffys are nice but not as nice as Kryptek or Rab.
I’ve been a Smartwool PhD and a Falke Ranger fan for years. But I started using darn tough s few years back and have slowly replaced everything with Darn Tough. Warranty is great and socks are awesome: warm when I need it, cool when I don’t, don’t stick and don’t wear our. Warranty is awesome.
I’m listening to Jordan’s podcast on homepage about Kodiak, there was a discussion about the pending Sig Zulu 6 stabilized binoculars. Does anyone have details; timing, options, pricing, specs?
Sounded interesting.
I’m looking at upgrading optics. i Don’t know if I’ll get RF, non RF alpha or both. But at a minimum, I’m planning to get a good pair, a pair of backup binos and a big bino. it may take some time.
I’ve found that Cashell’s reviews make sense to how my eyes have seen images through some of...
Matt,
In previous reviews you’ve recommended som great glass and I’d like your opininow as I’m contemplating upping my glass game. I am comparing:

I should add that I have a schooler fabric soft shell (non hunting) from a high end mountaineering company. After a few times of washing and wearing it has softened and quieted. But it isn’t silent. It would, if it’s want black, be quiet enough for hunting elk in spot and stalk.
I know a few guys who say it quieted down pretty good after wearing and washing a few times. i Think it just takes a little time. I have a Dalibor. It is the quietest jacket I own. But it isn’t wind Proof. It does cut the wind and with The right layers ive worn it in cold high country...
I got an email from Meopta a few days ago saying that they are hoping for end of sept for the Air to arrive. It is the Meopta B1 HD optically with different housing and body design. Should be a killer. I’m waiting for the arrival.
I’ve gone back and forth with Patagonia, Sitka, under Armour, Woolx, LlLBean and kryptek. I’ve gone back to a Helly Hansen zip neck fleece sweatshirt. HH is great. Warm. Light. Doesn’t smell. I really love it.
I have the Dalibor jacket from several years ago. I’m looking to replace it (I like how light it is). I have a Jetstream from Sitka for colder weather. Questions: the online photos at Kryptek’s website show the camo versions with an elastic cuff and the solid color ones have Velcro...
Anyone use either? I can them for the same price at a discount to retail. Both seem quite similar in specs but I haven’t tried either yet. Wondering if either is preferred here. Thanks.
As other said it depends on his vision. I have an astigmatism and certain red dots don’t work. Sig, Holosun and Vortex will work if I turn the brightness down. Eotech is also okay. Aimpoint and Trjicon are starbursted to my eyes. You might want to try the vortex or sig prism line.
