    Cheap Stuff that Works

I love these. I use them to secure my climber stand. I leave them at the base of the tree and easy enough to see in the almost dark when I'm packing up. They haven't failed me for years now.

    Eastern Wyoming, things to do.

You were asking if the OP can get some doe tags, correct? Good idea.

    Eastern Wyoming, things to do.

What other fish are present? I can look it up, or course. (I was surprised to learn that walleye are prevalent and popular in SD - at least southeastern SD) I can also look this up, but can you use electronic calls there? On public land? I've never tried mouth calls before.

Help: How to secure fluid head to tripod: Slik CF 634. No set screw?

I picked up a 634 and was glad to feel how lightweight it was compared to my aluminum Manfrotto (2 vs 5.5lbs). I haven't picked up any new heads for it so I put my Manfrotto 701HDV fluid head on it too film my daughter's basketball game. Immediately I noticed there is no way to lock the head...

    Wyoming Elk Draw Explained

I'd like one but I also just went ahead and subscribed for a year! I'm so intrigued by these western states that I've barely traveled in and hope to hunt, that I figured why not.

Looking for a gun- Need some input

At the current exchange rate, it comes out to about $1200 USD - although it would cost you a pretty penny to import it into the US. As far as pricing might be in the USA, should it come available, perhaps it's be in the $1-1.2k range.

Spotters: Increased bang for the buck with increased price?

I always stick my foot in my mouth on forums, not really thinking through what I say. Usually, my point is about something else and I end up making a statement like "A is better than B" (like here Vortex/swaro) when really, I didn't mean it to be stated as fact. I'm with you on the part about...

    Will Vehicle Prices Ever Decrease?

I have worked hard to not borrow when buying cars (although I have taken some loans at times). I've always bought older vehicles with close to 100k on them and rode them out for quite a while. It's harder to find good deals like that now. I'm amazed at how people can afford payments on such nice...

    Cheap Stuff that Works

When I went through the dollar-store-reading-glasses stage prior to getting prescription glasses, I ended up with a LOT of these little sleeves the glasses come with. I started using them to keep USB cords sorted in my desk drawer and elsewhere. I use them in my daypack on hunts as well if I'm...

Spotters: Increased bang for the buck with increased price?

I hear you all out there on my comment on Swaro=Vortex (and those putting a good word in there for me as well :) ). Like I mentioned above, I didn't give them a rigorous test, I wasn't hunting or doing anything long distance, etc. Financially, I'm not at the stage to be buying high-end glass...

You mentioned selling your Vortex Razor spotter at a huge loss after using your FIL's Swaro. I guess that was a $3k spotter? How much did you end up selling your Razor for? I'm looking at one for $1k (26-70x85) What's the knock on the Razor?

Spotters: Increased bang for the buck with increased price?

That's easy for me to say b/c it's a personal opinion. My Vipers are fantastic to me. When I use his Swaris, I don't notice a difference. Did I sit there for a while and truly analyze it and test them hard? No. He lives in Canada and I live in the SE USA so it's not like I get to try them a lot...

I bought one of this with our Vic chefs knife. Sure, clunkier than dropping it in a butcher block, but it stays sharp. I like it.

    Cheap Stuff that Works

I just discovered this the other day. I was thinking about how lightheaded I get trying to blow these things up, googled it, and was STUNNED at how obvious and simple it could be. Tried it and it works. Note: I didn't use the water bottle, just a garbage bag and a rubber band.
