Update: Father/Son - Wyoming: applying as a party.

***I previously added my edit here but have withdrawn it*** I had some questions about how the process worked but I think I figured it out. We're both applied for. Although...I don't see my son's conservation stamp. I purchased mine individually and prior to my tag drawing application. I was...

Florida pythons: Wanted dead, not alive, right?

Right, You're a little south of me as Corals are also a few hours south. Same with D-backs. We have Timbers, (red) Pygmys, Cottonmouth, Copperheads.

Florida pythons: Wanted dead, not alive, right?

I've only killed two snakes on purpose. One was a giant rat snake that showed up in our laundry room. My wife was getting the clothes out of the dryer, looked up, and peering over the top of the dryer was a rat snake. It was about as long as they get. Five feet or so. The only pit viper I...

Florida pythons: Wanted dead, not alive, right?

Maybe I'd feel different if I was a bounty hunter but I think I'd want to ensure death of the snake. This is coming from someone that loves snakes - native ones, anyway. Most people think I'm crazy. But geez, a python? I'd be pretty satisfied with banning all exotic pets.

Florida pythons: Wanted dead, not alive, right?

I don't research this topic and have seen only various and occasional YouTube videos regarding hunting pythons in Florida. In all the videos I've seen, it seems like the snakes are caught by hand and kept alive. What on Earth could the reasoning be behind even letting such a snake live more...

    How’s your fuel prices

I was in Lake City FL this week and saw gas in the low- to mid-$4 range. Surpised to see mid-3 when I got home toeastern NC. Wool, what is good for

SOCKS!!!! My Oma (grandmother) in the Nethlerlands used to send us pairs. Thick, gray, wool socks were the absolute best. I still have a bunch of them and need to find a knitter that can fix them up for me!.

Do you come on here for "advice"?

I come here to learn and therefore, to seek advice, I guess. I think some people just like to have a conversation, offer their help as asked, etc. I'm glad they do. In some forums, people get pretty pissy if you ask a question that's been asked before. I understand the reasoning on one hand...

    Vasectomy

I don’t recall my wife having to sign off on it. Gave me meds which made a little loopy. It throbbed for a day or two at least. At one point, I got concerned but all is well. DO NOT jump on the riding mower when you get back bc you feel fine. It will cause immense pain the next day, I’m told. My...

Hi 406, A newbie here. I just saw a post of yours that said: "I have hunted WY antelope every year for a while now as an NR. How can you hunt antelope as a NR every year if it takes X number of points to do it every time? Do you just have that many points saved up? Just trying to learn...

Are Cordura seat covers the cover of choice?

I was blessed with a new job and a brand new F-150 XLT, the absolute nicest truck I've ever had. Hope to head to Wyoming for my first antelope hunt with my son this fall. Either way, I want to purchase good seat covers for it and just keep the truck as nice as possible for as long as possible. I...

How do y'all manage the Wyoming/New Mexico up-front system?

I'm new at this (pre-new, even. haven't applied for western tags or points yet)... ...what's the $15k for? I only ask if it has to do with tags/licenses, which it sounds like it does.

    Arca Swiss plate compatibility

I didn't phrase something well when I asked the two questions about 17" wheels and Arca plates. Sorry for you having to go through the explanation of each. Rather than try to explain my brain, I'll just accept my inability to easily convey what I'm thinking. :)

    Arca Swiss plate compatibility

My new Sirui ball head has a screw clamp while my Manfrotto ball head has a lever to lock it down. There is a secondary mechanism that locks the lever in place. Currently, I'm looking at the Sirui VA-5 level of cost (~$150). I love good equipment and understand the pros of having quality...

PhoneSkope - Universal Adapter for Otterboxed devices?

It appears that Phone Skope offers some adapters that will fit a device with an Otterbox but they are only for iPhone. That leaves a lot of phones that won't fit if using an Otterbox case - which I assume are somewhat popular in our outdoor world. Are some of you using the universal adapter...
