    I went ahead and rolled the dice on my marriage and ordered a Big Agnes Torchlight UL 20. I’ve got a BA Kings Canyon quilt I can layer over that if it gets crazy cold. The two together should suffice down to near zero and weigh just over 3 lbs combined.

    Hey all, looking for some feedback on an upcoming early September elk hunt. I have a 25* REI Zephyr bag and an REI Helix pad (R4.9). I've been told to plan to a range of 0-40 degrees at night. Not sure the 25* bag is going to cut it. Question from me is rather than getting a new bag altogether...

    Breathable wind layer for hiking

    I’ve got the Black Ovis Specter wind hoody. Wear it regularly to cut the wind and it does a great job of it. Reasonably lightweight. Planning a hike in CO in a few weeks, so I can try and see how breathable it is.
