Not sure if you know this tactic but if you have multiple pins you range the obstacle(branch) and if it as 30 yards and you then hold your 60 yard pin on the target and look at your 30 yard pin you can tell if your arrow will hit it or not.     I use a clip board. Just use a jig saw to cut out a hole that is about 1” smaller the a standard 8.5”x11 piece of paper. Then screw the clip board to a 1x4x6.
