I use a havalon baracuta, never broken a blade and like the fact that I can carry a regular blade, filet blade and saw blade that weigh next to nothing

I've tried winners choice wasn't super impressed, had a couple vaportrail Vtx sets that I can't complain about at all, and recently put on a set of 60x in fury material that seem good but only shot a couple dozen arrows
Vaportrail has outstanding customer service and the only reason I tried 60x...
Wapitibob, have you trued an action or do you have machining knowledge? Using a piloted reamer to true the bolt raceway is common practice, I doubt there is a smith out there that uses a boring bar to true a raceway. Single point cutting the action threads is another topic.
Their price for a...
I've hurt my back 4 times in the last 5 years always lifting something and twisting.
The last time (2yrs ago) I had to crawl to my truck and my father helped me get in.
I now have pain that starts next my spine and run through my butt and around my leg. Sitting (or lifting something way to...
I think for the average archer there isn't much of a difference over the last number of years between flagship models.
Archery has become more about marketing than advancing technology.
I fail to see how a person could spend $1000 on the bow according to that article and then be setup at...
What's involved in one of these builds in terms of headspacing the breech plug?
I have a hunter bolt nose conversion and breech plug and was wondering if a pre threaded blank could be installed at home?

I've always felt the action was the heart of a rifle. My dad gave me a 700 when I was 13 and it is still my go to rifle except it now wears a different barrel, stock, shroud/pin/spring and trigger. I say change up the barrel and stock to exactly how you want and use it!

Diatomaceous Earth would be my suggestion, works well and shouldn't harm the mounts.
Firewood brings in carpet beetles here so I use it religiously in the house if needed since it is pet and human safe.

Broodbuster go to Napa and get an eraser wheel for your cordless (or pneumatic) drill. It's all we used when I worked at a body shop in college and it was easy quick and didn't harm anything. I've used this method to remove decals from my own vehicles in recent years

My father has it 8 yrs ago at 60yrs old, he still has pain in his neck/face and was left with scarring.
My grandmother has had it a couple of times.
An ex-girlfriend got it at 20years old
I've had chickenpox so when I hit 50 yrs old (or whatever the recommendation) I'm for sure getting the...
Well, picked up the bow this week so now I have two identical bows just have to set it up and tune it.
Didn't come with all the modules and I got the last one in Canada (cabelas) so G5 is sending the mod I need for free.
Got an additional $70 off and a $20 gift card for the hassle. I went to...
I started going hunting with my dad since before I can remember, now I'm doing the same with my son.
I think it's important that when you take a kid (or someone new) that you should accept you aren't going to be able to go as hard as when you are on your own. If you don't make it enjoyable for...
My wife signed up for some free stuff on the nestle baby website and they sent a baby backpack with a bunch of sample stuff in it and it comes with a change mat thing.
We put some extra clothes, diapers, wipes, cream, toys, snacks, blanket and sippy cup in it and it goes wherever our son does...
24" .308 and 17.5" .308 shooting the same match ammo had a difference of 100fps in my experience.
I'd go for the shorty!

I'd take the R700 in 30-06 put a McMillan edge stock, talley lightweight rings and a Leupold vx2 3-9 on it. Probably sub 7.5lbs after it's all done
