Thanks to everyone for sharing some amazing stories of determination, mental strength, and self worth in this thread. Some of them make my deal look like a walk in the park.
Starting another week with a headache almost like a hangover but its probably just the opposite. Sleeping better though...
I could (is 5 days sober enough to use past tense?) drink anything and everything and in good quantities but I have never tasted a Natural Light Naturdays and never will. Turns my stomach thinking about it, gross.

Grilled ahi tuna steaks and boiled corn on the cob for supper. Celebrated end of week with two sparkling waters, lemon flavor.
Figure I avoided 1300+ calories by not having a four pack of IPA and half a dozen Hamm's.
Day 5 complete, good night.
How do you figure that out? Any examples? Do not want to/will not do AA or talk to therapist. I'm a stubborn enough sumbitch to go cold turkey and have but alway seem to find a reason to jump off.
Time for a change here, been going on far too long, well over half my life; can smoke down beer...
Agreed. I've burned both in my large walltent stove. The anthracite burns hotter and cleaner but it took a good bed of wood coals to get it going.
The bituminous coal burned easily but dirtier and speckled my white rain fly with black ash. It also smells more.

10 stitches, only skin and no muscle. Have used saw for 18 years on the farm without incident but it only takes a split second to change that. I'm blaming the deep snow and my own stupidity.
Thanks for well wishes,
Chris
215 this morning, added 1 pound since last Wednesday but down 20 lbs since Jan 3rd.
Had a minor set back after I ran a chainsaw across my quad a few inches above knee on Saturday. Thought it was necessary to have rum and 7up all afternoon, then Jim Beam and 7up Sunday followed by homemade...
I've also bedded the scope in the lower rings on my last four scope mounts; using a release agent on the scope tube so its not permanent of course.

Feel like I wasted bandwidth with this thread/question. I've answered my own question after reading the 10,000+ other "what bow for beginner" posts on the intertube.
Thanks,
Chris
Jan 3rd 235 lbs, this morning was 216 lbs.
Still eating clean, some IF, watching calories, and most importantly, no booze.
Gawd damn there are days I crave a Jim Beam though. Friends keep questioning me how long this sobriety is gonna last, I guess I was more fun when drinking? I feel...
Would a W&W Black Wolf be ok to get back into trad? I like the look and reviews other than gripes about grip; haven't touched one or any other for that matter, I'm out in the sticks here.
Was thinking of getting a used one with 50# limbs but buying some 25 to 30 lb limbs to learn proper form...
