    I did not know this. That's good to know. I'm gonna have to shoot it. I just thought that if worst came to worst and it had to be replaced that it might be better if it were unfired.

    I did. I took it back to sportsmans and they sent it in to tikka and that's when they shaved the bolt head and it did nothing.

    I didn't mention it in my post but I did try coloring the neck and shoulder of one of my casings and there were no noticeable marks and it surely didn't rub any off like in your case.
